Dr Rohit Rungta - Kolkata

Dr Rohit Rungta is one of the best Doctors I have ever come across! My mother has been under his care for almost two years now and there has been great improvement in her renal reports! The medicines he has prescribed has worked wonders for her. He is very patient and listens to all your problems and always gives the patient courage! He even replies to patient queries on WhatsApp. He is not only a great Nephrologist but also a very down to earth human being! Would recommend him 10/10 to anyone! Thank you Dr Rungta for making my mother better! :)

Dr. Rohit Rungta, is the best Nephrologist, our family has come across. He is based in Kolkata, and treats patients with utmost care. He is extremely down to earth and always reachable for advice. Most importantly he is humane, a quality missing in most doctors today. He is very professional and suggests the best possible solution for his patients. We started seeing Dr. Rungta sometime in 2019, for my father, and this year my mother has also consulted him for her health condition. I experienced breathlessness, hay fever & irritation in urine in July 2017 when I was in Mumbai. I contacted Nephrologist at Nanavati Superspeciality Hospital at Mumba on advice by colleague at office. After doing all the tests in connection with kidneys, Nephrologist reached to the conclusion that my kidneys functions are good. But my urine Routine clearly showed high protein and 4 unit blood in urine with normal creatnine. Nephrologist told me every times that blood is not leaking from kidneys but when I asked about high protein in urine then he told me that high consumption of water caused high protein in urine. Evey month or on advice by Nephrologist I repeated tests but always he told me that your dysmorphic RBC is nil with high protein In urine routine. In 2019 he referred me to Urologist in same hospital. Urologist did cystoscopy and gave me levoflox 500 mg for 7 weeks. During the course of levoflox 500, I experienced hole body muscle pain specially in feet. After completion of levoflox 500 course, my urine routine showed almost same as before taking levoflox 500 mg. In April 2020 during first lock down, I experienced back pain, fever and discomfort in passing urine. My creatinine started increasing and Biopsy was denied as my USG showed thin cortex. I was ready to face risk but renal biopsy was denied by Nephrologist. In May 2021 after post covid I was suffering from constant vomiting and diahhorea. I requested for my admission in Nanavati but did not get any response. Finding no solution I went Kolkata my home and luckly my younger sister contacted Dr Rohit Rungta Sir. Rungta Sir admitted me at Medica Superspeciality hospital mukundpur. My serum creatinine was around 25. I underwent diailysis 10 times. My renal biopsy done under supervision of Dr Rungta Sir and biopsy indicated Cresentic IgA Nephropathy with hypertension. It is Dr Rohit Rungta who pulled me out of diailysis. Dr Rohit Rungta is most experienced, talented and extraordinary nephrologist. He has deep knowledge in Nephrlogy. He always think about the welfare of the patients. He always give response on WhatsApp, messages and on call. Now my creatinine reference range is out of danger. Now I don't require diailysis since June 2021. So if anybody feels something wrong in relation with kidney functions please contact Dr Rohit Rungta without any delay. I reached in time but to the wrong Nephrologist at Nanavati, Mumbai. If I contacted Dr Rohit Rungta in July 2017 then I might be fully recovered within few months. I am alive today due to Rohit Rungta Sir. My condition was worst at the time of admission. If my younger sister did not find Dr Rohit Rungta in time then I was dead man. Now I am much better than before. Dr Rohit Rungta did correct treatment. He does correct diagnosis. In my case, Dr Rohit Rungta Sir did correct diagnosis in few days.

He is an extremely top class Dr. as well as a great human being. My mother is under treatment of Rohit Sir since last 6 months... Earlier I have consulted number of top Nephrologists in Kolkata, Chennai and & Hyderabad, but without any second thought I can say that Dr. Rohit Rungta is the best Nephrologist in Kolkata... The care, support, confidence he gives to his patients is remarkable & beyond words. Above all the best part is even in this tough times he is always available & extend all possible support to his patients & responds over what's app immediately... In true sense he is next to GOD for any Kindey patients...I always pray to GOD for his safety & well being... You don't know that you are the last hope for thousand of Kindey patients. What a fantastic doctor I met in my life! Let me first utter few things before I tell about Dr. Rohit Rungta. I have almost 30-40 friends who are doctors, many of them are my close intermediate college friends. I am a Techie by profession but I am deeply interested in Medical science and health and keep track of almost all recent developments in medical science and follow international journals for that. I am telling all these things because when I try to discuss any thing that I know about Medical Science with my doctor friends , they take that in a very different way and almost always try to shut me down with their ego. Now talking about Dr. Rohit Rungta, I visited him cause of a minor concern that had come up recently in my routine health check up report. He patiently listened my concerns first ( A thing very few doctors do ), Guided me after that. Since I had done a bit of exploration about the concern, so I put my findings in front of him, again he obliged and corrected me where needed ( Here doctors would try to shut you down because of their ego) but he respected my effort in a way that I had never seen before with any other doctor including my doctor friends. He then recommended for another test that confirmed the concern and guided accordingly. He was very nice throughout. One of the greatest doctors and human being I have ever met! So thankful towards him!
