Construction of a new metro station is underway to get to Dumdum Airport. This is the first station after the Bangaon branch of the Sealdah railway station was divided from Damdam junction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The station is situated in the line of Bongaon- sealdah. This is exactly next station of Dum Dum Junction. The station is moderate crowded. By road the nearest bus stop is Central jail in joshore road. The platform is clean and maintained and all trains are announced properly. And most importantly galloping all trains are stop here.In ticket counter there has manual ticket mode as well as ticket booking machine.
