★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recollect 38 years before, I used to visit to see the view prior to prepare any exam.and for peace of mind.Yesterday I got a nice time to visit and share my thought with the nature around Dwijendra Setu I enjoyed an hour to the emu train crossing the bridge,it's echo's,the nos of compartments mervellous,it is little far from Setu(road),I had goggles to save eyes from dust due to vehicles crossing,bus,Tata,rickshow,cycles,bykes,scooty,heavy loaded truck were playing on the Setu,sometimes I feel scare of Setu shaking,but I enjoyed.on the one side pavement of the Setu,fish hawkers carrying fishes to villages and on the other side pavement horrible early 2thousand people coming bicycle to Krishnagar for their daily wages,then vegetables(fresh) also carrying by bicycle I too purchase some. Then I was withnesing those are swimming in the river(Jalangi) ,some are so expert Asif sleeping on the water,some were swimming far and far again returning I forgot my other works. Thirdly I marked wastage in river,pollution.Little far I saw garbages burning & it's bad smell and smoke coming towards me due to winds.Finally I took some photos and coming back to city.If I am not forgotten,I counted 130pilleres side of pavement weakling and each apart by 2 metres,so If I am not wrong Setu is about 260 metres long.Actuall it should be written about Setu details for people and passers by.It was nice time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dwijendra Setu is the river bridge following the name of the famous poet of Nadia district Dwijendra Lal Roy in the state Highway 12. This Bridge is the lifeline of the communication state highway connecting North Bengal and South Bengal but its condition is not so good just now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The name of this bridge is Dwijendra Setu. This is also known as Jalangi Bridge. This bridge was built on 21st July, 1995 (4th Sraban,1402 Bangabda) and was inaugurated by the West Bengal minister (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) Khiti Goswami. This is an important national highway which connects the south bengal and north bengal.The number of this highway is 34 but after sometime it will be known as NH 12.This bridge is a vantage point to observe the beautiful serpentine river Jalangi and the fluvial city Krishnagar The authority does not take care of the bridge and if they do take any prompt action the bridge may collapse.
