We had been there for a day and I was waiting to leave. The experience was definitely not a good one. The hosts were least bothered about welcoming us and nor did they see us off. We spoke to Naved for some time in the evening but saw Arthi for few seconds in the morning while eating breakfast. There was absolutely no interaction. Infact we spoke more over the phone. All the friendliness was just fake. Anyway, we can ignore all this but even customer service was non-existent. They charged 7k for us(couple) and 1k for my 2.4 year old son. When asked about why she was charging 1k for a baby, she said for making children food etc. I assumed she said she will be asking and cooking something for my baby. But she did not ask me anything about my baby's food preference. I had told her over phone he eats normal Indian food. Nothing special. She still did not ask anything and went ahead make pasta, grilled chicken, bread and some chocolate dessert for us. My son did not have dinner. But she served milkshake as I had told her before going that he would want one milkshake. The next morning they ordered breakfast from outside for us. I was very surprised. If I had eat some outside darshini food, why did I go there to their homestay/farmstay?? Nor did she ask me what my baby would eat and when I called to check about the breakfast timing she told me that she has ordered for rava idli. When I told her that my son does not eat it she asked me if she can send bananas and biscuits. I told her I don't give my son biscuits as it contains maida. Now, when did bananas and biscuits become breakfast for a baby? Nor did she have to courtesy to ask what would my son eat and order that. When we reached the breakfast table, we saw rava idli and vada kept open and we saw some flies around. I felt disgusted. Why on Earth is it a fashion to keep food open? Anyway my son did not eat dinner or breakfast as nothing was asked from us and all the host planned was to charge 1k for his food and not ask anything from us. He was really hungry once we reached home as he just ate banana during breakfast. Also, the spoon kept in the room to stir coffee was dirty. We had to wash it and use it. Disgusting customer service. I don't know why people have rated this place so high. I am very surprised. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not someone with a child. This place is meant for bachelors who really don't care about things much. All that the owners want is money. They don't look into anything. These 2 stars are for the decent dinner Arthi prepared for us. All I know is I blew up 8k for a average looking place with no care and concern for a toddler's food and no customer service what so ever.

Staying at Earthkitchen was an incredible experience. Aarthi and Naved are amazing hosts and we left their place feeling inspired by the life that they have created for themselves. Aarthi cooked some absolutely delicious food for us and we can't wait to come back for more!

Update 2: What a canned soporific argument you have for most of the people who give you any negative feedback. Experience wasn't a delight that I would remember the "Date". Though I remember the cold "Darshini" breakfast, procured from some nearby place. Update: WRT to assumption of property owner(Google Map doesn't allow threaded replies), I did visit the place over a year(or two) back. Unfortunately the review is not up to your liking.

There are several reasons why our stay here was magical. I'll try to cover a few of them here. The first would be the serenity of this getaway, which is just a little over an hour away from the maddening city. Imagine being surrounded by thousands of trees, birds and bees and just being. The second would be the food. Aarthi's spectacular cooking skills along with the beautiful produce she cooks with just ensures that the meals will leave you wanting for more. The third would be Aarthi's and Naved's hospitality. We stayed for two nights and within a span of a couple of hours felt absolutely at home. There are many more reasons, but probably one should discover it themselves when they visit this place.

I spent a most enjoyable 2 days at the Earth Kitchen home stay. It’s an easy drive from Bangalore. The property is beautiful. The hosts have taken great pains in conserving the eco system and biodiversity. The room was super clean and convenient. Arati and Naved , the hosts are fine people. Hospitable, chatty and shared their property to make me feel so welcome. I am vegan and Arati served delicious meals throughout my stay. Their dogs are sweet( and huge:):) ) and are secured inside their private residence at all times. I spent time walking along the village paths, listening to music and practicing my ukulele. The silence is blissful. The bird and peacocks sounds are so very welcome to our ears - drowned as they are with ugly city noises ! The night sky... twinkling stars and moonshine. So if you plan a trip where you want to live the slow life, this is where you need to go. Carry your music, books and mosquito repellent and sit outside, under a canopy of leaves and listen to Nature at its best :)

We loved staying here. The best attraction here is undoubtedly the location, which is very serene and peaceful. Not too far away from the city and still in the outskirts. The place by itself is very well maintained. Sight seeing wise, there are not too many places to go check out in and around. But, as a bird lover, we found a lot of these spots and had a great time exploring the surrounding areas. The owners play a very hands-on part with the whole experience, as in they prepare our breakfasts and dinners. And they're also very helpful in guiding us on tips that would be good for what we wanted to do. Of course, they also have a few massive dogs in their property that they let out every morning and evening. Once you get friendly with the more sociable ones, you can spend time with them as well. There are some really nice pathways around the property, so in case you enjoy biking, that should also be in your list of items to bring. Although we spent only a day there, we had a great time. It was a good break.

We were there for a weekend with the parents and in-laws and short though it was, it was like a breath of fresh air.... The family of dogs, the helpers, yummy food... The parents had kind of got shut off from the outside world because of Corona and just kept falling back into the everyday cooking, cleaning routine day in and day out. So it was a much, much needed break for them especially. They really loved it and it was a relaxing, laidback time for all of us amidst the peace and quiet and nature.... We really enjoyed talking to the owners, getting to know their views and thoughts, travel, yoga, food, the history of their place and the surrounds :-) Thank you so much again for these lovely memories, we'd love to come back :-)

Horrible place, dont be fooled by the positive reviews. Arithi, her husband and staff are discourteous and will make you feel unwelcome from the time you set foot on the property. They charge 4 star rates for zero star service and facility. The whole setup for the stay and dining makes you feel like you are a servant and they are the masters. The owners who run this palce think way too much about the food they provide and assume that people will just put up with their horrible serivce, attitude and the 1-Star room to eat this food. Coming to the room, there is an iron cot which might collapse at any time. The mattress, cot & bedding is of very poor quality which you get at a 1-Star hotel near railway stations. The property is poorly maintained and is run down. There are no pathways to your room, you have to find your way thru slush and weeds. This is worst holiday experince we ever had.
