Best part about Fab cafe apart from cool ambience is quiet. You can hangout here all by yourself in peace reading a good book or have a great conversation with your friends. Though I felt a light music in the background maybe Indian classical just instrumental would really add to nice vibe to the aura of the place. Nonetheless I love fabcafe. The food menu is little unusual in a position sense. You ll get healthier options here. I have been to 2 fabcafes in Delhi and now one in Pune and had amazing experience in all 3 visits.

Not-so-cozy ambience, worn-out (torn) upholstery, sqeaky & shaky furniture and an over enthusiastic, unregulated AC are unacceptable for a Cafe as expensive as this one. Food was just about ok for me to remember to mention. The menu card is a laminated photocopied page, which is anything but inviting. Barely readable, least to say understandable. It's a place that costs about Rs. 600-700/- per person for a snack time visit, but is only as worthy of Rs. 30-40/- per person ! All said, the Fabindia store has one of the best collections & varieties. Visit the store for apparel; eat elsewhere.

FabCafe by FabIndia is one of the places that pokes at a newer trend - vegan food. This trend is pretty wide spread in western countries, however, people here have not yet come to grips with it completely. The restaurant offers a wide selection of menu items from Indian regional cuisine, continental cuisine and some gourmet options as well. They do a pretty good job of using vegan substitutes in these run-off-the-mill dishes. The ambiance of this restaurant was a highlight of our meal experience here. It is bright yellow lighting with whites, reds and greens all around. They have also made sure to have sufficient light in the dining space - only inside seating is available here. We started our meal with complimentary biscotti (twice baked Italian style cookies) that were presented by the owner. There were two varieties - Almond and Chia Bajra (a grain similar to wheat). Among these, Chia Bajra was my favourite, although both were very well made. We did not see these biscotti on their menu; it may have been an additional product outside their standard menu. Definitely worth a try. Our meal from the menu actually started with Spinach and Water Chestnut Momos. They have replaced the traditional rice flour for momos with jackfruit flour for a gluten free option. Jackfruit flour doesn't necessarily have a different taste but has a much denser texture and the mouth feel is definitely distinct. The momos were fairly tasty with the accompanying chives dip and chili dip. Next, we ordered the Chicken n' Egg Tikka sliders. The sliders, I felt could have been punchier in taste. The chicken was well cooked and wrapped inside the fluffy egg omelette, but the bun was too small to hold the fillings, and the overall experience of this dish was not as I had expected. We moved on to the Paneer Tikka Wrap, along with Veggies in South Indian style coconut curry and Quinoa. The paneer wrap was came with the jackfruit flour tortilla. The filling was spicy and well balanced, and the wrap managed to hold it together while we finished digging in. The veggie curry was slightly disappointing - the veggies were not overcooked, but the flavour was predominantly of turmeric more than anything else. It was missing seasoning and hence, seemd out of balance. Quinoa was a nice substitute for traditional white rice, with a nutty and earthy flavour. We ended our meal with a Himalyan Honey and Walnut tart, Chocolate Milkshake and a Crunchy Nut n' Cookie shake. The tart was delicious - they had used almond flour for the base, and the filling was tasty with jaggery and honey. It was not overly sweet and had a pleasant mouth feel. It is pretty hard to mess up a chocolate milkshake, and this one did not disappoint either. The nut n cookie shake used their biscotti and had a lovely unique taste. All in all, the meal experience here was a mixed one. Their service, although polite, was a tad slow. When we gave our feedback for the veggie curry to the owner, he made sure that it was discounted from our final bill - a big positive. The food here, I believe, will need getting used to. It is certainly an acquired taste. The overall menu seemd a bit overpriced as well. One thing that struck us quite garingly was that they have positioned themeslves as a vegan restaurant, however, they offer dishes with egg, meat and other animal products as well. Maybe they don't want to lose a chance to attract non-vegan people, or maybe they want to present only a partial menu as vegan so that people have a chance to get familiar with the dishes. Either way, this was a tad conflicting. I would visit here again if I was in the nearby area to try some of the dishes that seemed interesting, but I would not specifically plan a visit here. Happy Eating! :)

Expensive. Delayed service. You will have to wait minimum 1 hour for your order if you visit this place hungry so better eat at your home before visiting this restaurant so you don't get irritated.. and can wait patiently. Food was good. Offcourse overpriced. The staff doesn't even bother looking at you and what you need. And they are not even around you have to wait for them to come so you can ask for something 3/5
