★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked First Line Express Courier service for transporting mangoes from Kolkata to Bangalore. I was told that the delivery would take a maximum of 2 days. After sending the package off with them, I noticed that my parcel wasn't even sent out on that date and was sent on the following day. I received my shipment in 3 days instead of two.
What was extremely problematic was that the RECTANGULAR carton that I had sent my parcel in became a ROUND ball upon receiving it. All mangoes inside had been squished and burst out of their peels. The extra day and plastic packaging ensured that the entire shipment turned rotten by the time of receiving it.
Naturally I understand that they cannot control the weather. But they CAN treat the parcel with care as they knew it was a food item. AND I definitely expected them to provide their professional expertise in advising me to use other materials to pack my shipment or choose faster modes of delivery.
I paid 3 times the price of the mangoes just to ship them. The least they could have done was be professional and help me receive value for my money spent and the trust I placed on them.
