Frangipani - Mumbai

Soothing ambience, good food and service. The staff was generous enough to give us a complimentary cake for a birthday we were celebrating. I would recommend folks to particularly try out the tiramisu, lasagna and pizza! I enjoyed them.

There have removed the buffet. The alacarte menu food was mediocre and extremely expensive. Ambience is good for business meetings. The pulao was like turmeric rice and not made from basmati rice. Kulfi was served in two scoops (expected a stick or cone) and was tasting like regular icecream than kulfi.

We stayed at Trident for 3 nights which included breakfast n 1 Lunch or dinner buffet. Our stay came around holi n the spread they had for holi dinner buffet was FANTASTIC! Im vegetarian n the options i had in mains were superb. I loved the Thandai n also the thandai mousse cake. The dessert spread was good as well though some of the options were repeated for 3 days. Some of the items we ordered was not in the buffet menu but they still got it for us. All the servers were attentive n responsive. A very special mention to Head Chef Eshaan. He was attending all the guest asking for thr feedback n suggestions. I have never seen a head chef on his toes non stop. I was surprised to see him again for the breakfast attending guests. We will be surely visiting again..

The Buffet is quite nice, though the spread is not lavish but good variety is present. The cold cuts in starters were very good. Starters have good variety with Chicken Tikka and Fish Fry in Non Veg and Dahi Kebab, Paneer Tikka, grilled veg and Potato wedges in Veg Main course had Chicken cooked in Cranberry jus, oriental chicken, Thai curry with Prawns, Lamb Casserole. Desert were excellent, Blueberry Cheesecake was among the best I had, Red Velvet was also very good All in all it was good experience and price is reasonable

Due to the lockdown imposed by the Maharashtra Government the Restaurant is opened only for resident guests. The breakfast is also being served here. I checked in to the hotel and incidentally it coincided with my daughter's birthday. When I checked into the restaurant manager , Mr Shubham he offered to set up a nice table for us for dinner. I am extremely grateful to the staff for making it memorable for us in spite of the challenging times we are going through. The table was nicely decorated, nothing extravagant but quite classy. The staff not only helped us with our menu selection but was checking on if we need anything quite frequently. My daughter and my spouse were also offered a complimentary drink with the food. The food of Oberoi never disappoints and this time was not an exception too. The Kebabs and the Salmon left us in a state of trance for quite some time. Overall a fantastic restaurant, with brilliant food which comes alive due to the warm and friendly staff

I, along with my wife and 3 year old Son had visited Frangipani restaurant in Trident, Mumbai on Saturday, 26th March 2022 - invoice attached. There was an event, which we were celebrating. We had gone there with big hopes of hospitality and taste, but ended up with complete opposite. We want to express complete dissatisfaction for not treating us as guests, poor hospitality, poor taste and unattentive, unconcerned staff. When we visit 5 or 7 Star restaurants, we expect high level of hospitality and super delicious food cooked by highly skilled chefs. We pay for it out of our hard earned money. Detailed review below: - Firstly, the restrooms were not clean. Sorry, to add the pic, but this is to expose the so called 5/7 star hotel - Trident. Is this how you maintain hygiene and make guests comfortable? - There was no one to greet us on entry of Frangipani restaurant and we were clueless as to which were reserved tables and which were available. We identified the table on our own. - No one attended us for at least 10 mins and we had to call hotel staff and ask for menu - It was expected that on handing over menu, we would be served with water, but no. We had to ask for it again. - We placed an order for finger chips for our Son, Chicken Biryani, Paneer Makhani and Lachha Paratha - Finger chips were all perfect - Chicken biryani was firstly very less quantity and was not awesome in taste as it should be in any 5 Star restaurant. Chicken was not tender. Moreover, we were not served with Raita immediately. It was served after 10 mins. That too, it was just sweet curd - not the raita. - We were served with plain roti instead of lachha paratha. When we brought this to notice of staff, it was taken back and we had to wait for parathas to come. Secondly, Paneer Makhani gravy was too thin and blunt in taste. When we asked about it, we were told harshly that we serve like this only. When we insisted to check it out with chef, it was taken back and later the modified version of earlier gravy was served to us - In the meanwhile, lachha parathas had come, but were very dry, no ghee/ butter - Hotel staff was not even attending us to serve the food or re-fill the water glass. We had to call them every single time. They were not proactive at all. - It was 12 midnight and hotel staff was busy wrapping up the work, rather than attending us to check if everything is okay. - It had already spoiled our event and hence we asked to pack the remaining sabji. To our surprise, it was packed in an aluminium foil, the way local restaurants do pack. By the time we reached home, most of the gravy had spoiled out of it. - While billing, when we shared the whole feedback, the staff just listened to it, without any reaction or concern. In short, complete disappointment. It really messed our event. We want hotel management to check this and take actions. Please respect the guests.

I visited Trident, Nariman Point with my family on Eid for lunch at Frangipani restaurant. Frangipani is a superb restaurant with a wide array of delicious continental and Indian cuisine. Ambience wise, it is top tier and waiters are very courteous and polite. Preparing of dishes takes a bit longer than desirable but it is a trivial thing really not a flaw. Coming to the a la carte menu, the chicken consomme, tikka pizza, chicken cutlet were really delectable but chicken biriyani was the undisputed star. No Eid is complete without superb Biryani and thanks to Frangipani for serving such a delicious biriyani which was really fragrant and tasty without being overpowering in spiciness. I'll admit that it was one of the finest Biryani dishes I have ever had. High praise indeed considering I lived in Hyderabad for 5 years and love Biryani, haha. The choice of cocktails is also decent. I had a long island iced tea which was quite perfect. Price wise, it is a five star restaurant so of course it isn't going to be easy on the wallet. What matters is the experience and the quality and I can vouch for it that Frangipani excels on both metrics. Happy dining folks!

I just had a buffet meal with my husband, honestly we have had better, it's not for even the elite classes.Average food, non veg was below average in quality. The dessert win the election, especially strawberry cheese cake. never will be coming again. the service is up to the mark. the waiters keep looking at you crazily while you want to have your food in peace.
