Its one of the 12 gates to the fort of Mandu. Its majestic in size and has beautiful architecture

The 45 km border or wall protects Mandu fort which is a historical place and the fort was protected by 12 Darwaja. In old time the fort was covered by a thick wall and necessary gates were built in several part of fort for daily and military use. These 12 main gates are Alamgir Darwaza, Bhangi Darwaza, Kamani/Kabaani Darwaza, Gadi Darwaza, Delhi Darwaza, Rampol Darwaza, Tripoltya Darwaza, Tarapur Darwaza, Bhagwaniya Darwaza, Jahangirpur Darwaza, Lohani Darwaza and Hathya Por Darwaza. Since Mandu was most exposed from north, this was the most fortified part of Mandavgad, original name of Mandu. The most beautiful and notable of these 12 darwazas is Delhi Darwaza, the main entrance to the fortress city having an approach through a series of gateways well fortified with walled enclosures and strengthened by bastions such a Alamgir Darwaza and Bhangi Darwaza, through which we can enter in Mandu. Gadi Darwaza is situated on northern side of the hill , consisting of double (one above the other) arches, constructed in 15th century. This iss the most intact gate. The two flanks of it were strong displaying fourteen solid arched decorations forming parapet walls with apertures between the adjoining arches to enable the archers to attack the invaders and to protect them from the enemy. There is a security room attached to the gate complex.
