About Gopal Sweets
Gopal’s was born in the enterprising thought of S. Hargopal Singh when the first outlet took shape at Phuwara Chowk in Patiala. This was the beginning… Over the years, the sweet aroma of Gopal Sweets spread in Patiala and slowly it wafted through the entire region.
Patialvis wanted more. The outcome was the second outlet at the Leela Bhawan. In 1999 came the first self-service multi-cuisine restaurant, which was a path-breaking development and an instant success.
Meanwhile, Chandigarh too had grown up as a city of people with refined tastes and a preference for finer, subtler and sweeter things of life. In 2005, Gopal’s opened its first outlet in Sector 8 of the City Beautiful. Understanding the needs and demands of its guests, the chain set up an outlet at the downtown Sector 35 as well. Soon, it became the favourite eating joint and a takeaway outlet of the young and old alike, who get together in large numbers to savour delicacies from a variety of cuisines. This was followed with an exclusive wedding outlet at Panchkula in 2005. To meet the growing demand of students and patrons of the northern sectors of Chandigarh, the Sector 15 outlet is the latest sweet destination.
Though its cuisine has evolved with the changing customer preferences and lifestyle, the time-tested and traditional recipes that gives Gopal’s the unique and unmatched taste and flavor remained the same. It brings back fond memories of a bygone era.
Today, Gopal’s is indispensable. Every festival, event and occasion becomes sweeter and more memorable with Gopal Sweets. And why not? Every dish is crafted to perfection by expert chefs. The brand has become synonymous with quality, hygienic handling and preparation, a long shelf life, creative presentation, and easy to use packing.
The chain has special tie-ups with caterers and select hotels for supply of sweets and milk products.
The production of the Gopal’s chain is handled from Patiala, while the sales department operates from Chandigarh.

The food quality is quite good, which makes it a go-to place for every now & then with friends & family. Their respective counters for snacks, bakery items & sweets are also well managed and neatly kept. Recommended for family & friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got introduced to Gopal Sweets in Patiala and that is more than 20 years back. Whenever visiting Patiala, if we could get chance, we would visit the place, such was it's charm. Later they opened in Chandigarh and Chandigarh people loved going by the response they got. They have now multiple showrooms in Chandigarh and the one at Madhya Marg is a special one. Huge Sweets Shop showroom it is offering big range of sweets, confectionery, dry fruits, snacks, namkeen and a virtual unending array of savouries. And yes you can sit and enjoy snacks, have a meal there, in a neat clean environment. Well maintained, the 'Shop' can leave 'sweet' impression on your memory if visiting this place ?. They have so much to offer that honestly I feel my this post won't be able to cover. Suggest make a visit, if not for shopping at least to have a look - it is a worthy outlet in city beautiful. A warming - you may end up picking up something so tempting and so large is the variety of things here! If you don't believe, just see few pics I have posted. By the way, Diwali is just few days away and place was bit overflowing with Diwali offerings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really amazing place with loads of food options and variety of sweets on offer. We tried their Chole Bhature and packed sweets for home. The "Chole" for the Bhature was not ready however and we were served the "Puri waali" sabzi instead. It tasted good though!

Ground floor they have bakery section and first floor they have resturant to serve your hunger pangs ?
