★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ferry point is located in Gorai village, which is part of Dharavi island. The distance upto Gorai creek (Borivali) is 600m. The villagers, tourists and police staff mainly use the ferry service. Alongwith passengers, two wheelers are allowed on to the boat. The orange colour life jackets are available on the boat. And there is nothing facy about the ride. Passengers need to buy ticket of ₹10 per ride at the entry point of ferry point. The pier is made from rough stones can get slippery, so be cautious while walking to the boat. The journey lasts less than 5 minutes so it's not even a joy ride for the tourists. The Essel world is 1km, Gorai beach 4.2km and the Global pagoda at 2.5km from the ferry point. The auto rickshaw ride to the Pagoda will cost ₹200 for four passengers. There are couple of eateries and small shops outside the ferry point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the Gorai Beach in the suburbs of Mumbai often, and then went again and again, it was so beautiful. The best thing about it is the Pagoda nearby, accessible by boat from the mainland, or even by road but a longer route.the ferry is used by the locals and visitors carrying their bikes to gorai beach.
