★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did TorNa trek via Budhala Machi with GGIM. This was my first trek with GGIM. I thoroughly enjoyed the trek. The group was awesome. All GGIM coordinators/organizers were very enthusiastic and ready to help as required. Commute and food arrangement was also done in the best possible way.
I am looking forward to do many more such treks with them. Loved the first experience!!

I've been a part of GGIM's Avhaan-Nirmaan-Udaan curriculum for 7 years now, from the age of 10, and truth be told, GGIM never felt like an institute to me, it is like my second school.
A school with no classrooms, no blackboards, yet vast knowledge!
This school has just five classes-
Avhaan, Avhaan Advance, Nirmaan, Nirmaan Advance and the Final Test- Udaan.
But what's a school without the teachers right!? The Dada-Tai's, our instructors, are the best teachers one could ever get.
They teach us the important aspects of mountaineering training in an extremely unique way. They help us acquire skills like bouldering, rock climbing, Basic trekking skills, first-aid, map reading and navigation etc.
The month-long Himalayan treks in the summer are the most fun of the entire curriculum! The beautiful sights of the Himalayas is truly a mesmerizing experience.
After completing Udaan, I did the Basic and Advance Rock climbing courses with GGIM for more in-depth knowledge regarding rock climbing in the sahyadris. These courses provide you with the perfect technical skills required for carrying out safe and independent climbing activities.
The vast experience of the instructors in the Mountains encourages us to follow their footsteps and 'reach new heights'- Literally!!
Wandering in the mountains from such a young age gave me a different perspective towards life and really boosted my confidence overall.
Being in the constant company of great mountaineers really keeps one motivated to work towards your goals!
This is the perfect place for all Mountaineering enthusiasts!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi!! This is Neeraja Walimbe. This was my first trek with GGIM, I joined the Winter Adventure course trek this November, it was a wonderful experience for me. Everything was well organised, all the instructors were friendly and very motivating. The adventure activities were conducted with full safety. As GGIM's moto says, ENJOY THE DISCOMFORT. This trek made me realise that we are too acquainted to luxury, it is very well possible and trust me, gives immense pleasure and satisfaction to live in nature, beyond all luxuries. I agree, there were twists and turns, challenges as well but hey!! That's life right? The information and basic life skills that were taught, were worth everything. This trek was a new experience, a new discomfort that should be accepted with open arms.Thankyou Team GGIM for not only giving me the joy of mountaineering but also memories to be cherished for a life time. I will be looking forward to all other activities by Giripremi and GGIM. Till then, lets ENJOY THE DISCOMFORT!!

Place Kamalgad is nice gad.. Undisturbed Nature and beautiful surrounding range like Kenjalgad, Rayreshwar, Mahabaleshwar, Pandavgad...
Luckily we got some clean and chilled drinking water from springs...Refreshing experience
Food arranged by GGIM nice. Nice xperience altogether!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently I have completed Advance Rock Climbing Course, I already did Basic Rock Climbing Course with GGIM in 2020. BRCC is 4 days residential course, Which is well organised. I learnt activities like Rock climbing, Rappelling, Jumaring, Map Making, First aid, camping, backpacking, rope knots and equipment in outdoors. All instructor are very trained and supportive.
In advance course we learnt lead climbing, multi pitch rappeling, jumaring, map reading, advance rope knots, advance equipment, anchoring and station management. Which is very helpful for climbing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ GGIM is one of the best mountaineering institutes that I have been associated with internationally, both in terms of versatility of their activities as well as safety and organisation. The members of the institute are highly skilled and inspiring, but also welcoming and supportive like family.
I have had the opportunity to participate in several treks with GGIM, in the Sahyadris (Western Ghats) and recently the Himalayan trek to Chandrakhani Pass (photos attached). All the treks have been very thoughtfully and perfectly organised. Particularly during the Himalayan trek, the weather was initially unfavourable, but thanks to the prompt decision and guidance by the trek leader (Dinesh Kotkar) everyone safely completed the trek and also had an amazing experience.
If you are in India and want to experience customised treks in the Himalayas or in the Western Ghats, or looking for adventure activities like rock climbing, I would definitely recommend this as the best point of contact. Looking forward to many more activities with GGIM!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ GGIM is a very well known and the only mountaineering institute in the southern part of India. Their training programs are very exclusive and filled with knowledge and thrill. I have been a part of their first batch of Avhaan Nirman and Udaan training program. The ANU Program is especially for the children between 10 -16 years; it enriches the beautiful history of the vast Sahyadri range and the forts built by the Marathas. I personally got to learn a lot while I was participating in the treks. I enjoyed the treks and whilst this process of training us I learned about the mind and physical challenges one should endure and deal with in life.
The instructors (Dada’s & Tai’s) are so friendly and highly skilled about every aspect required in the treks. The bonding which happens between the participants and the instructors makes the journey more fun and enthusiastic. Every individual taking part in this program not only gains knowledge about the history but develops themselves. I personally saw many changes in myself while being in this program. I developed skills like Leadership, Communication, Survival, Mapping etc. Being in the mountains is quiet challenging and by that I improved my strength, endurance, resilience, cunningness.
Not only ANU but GGIM also organizes Himalayan Adventure treks and Expeditions for the enthusiasts all over the country world, they also have Basic and Advance rock climbing courses. They have also started a diploma course with the Pune University for people who wish to make a career in Mountaineering.
Starting my journey with GGIM in 2015 I learnt and explored various things and changes happening to me which have helped me in making good decisions and choosing a good life path.
Getting trained under these professionals is a blessing in disguise, it made me find a new hobby and fall in love with and I decided to make a career in sports.
GGIM is not just an institute, it’s a family filled with achievers and dreamers who aim high and get the opportunity to explore the thrilling and challenging part of life, the path where one is soaked to every core of its body and enhance it resulting into getting the best view the best experience one can have in their life.
