There is a railway station under Mainline of Sealdah division, Eastern Railway 38 kms from Halisahar.
There is also a bus route bamed 85( Barrackpore to Kanchrapara).
Auto and Toto service available from halisahar station throughout the city.
There is also a ferry service which connects to Hoogly district ( "dunlop ghat" to Bandel sahagonj).
Main attraction of halisahar is " Sadhak Ramprosad bhite" with the Kali temple.
Halisahar area all type of business is available and also have a good market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Halishar railway station consisting of only 2 platforms one platform is for up train and other is for down trains.
only local trains stopping there, no express and passenger trains are stop there as well as galloping locals are not stop there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place. This is the birthplace of legendary devotional song writer Ramprasad. Also you can visit the Ganga river opposite of Halisahar Municipality. From there you can see Dunlop situated on the other bank of the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Halisahar is an important station on the Sealdah Krishnagar route. It the station before Kanchrapara Railway Workshop which is why many railway workers stay here. Halisahar is an historical town which had lot of Havelis hence the name Havelisahar. It is famous for house of Saint Ramprasad. Now a new railway route is being constructed after that Darjeeling mail will run on this route. The station area has multiple business on spot. The suburban railway is the most important means of transportation. Halisahar railway station is adjacent to railway yard. It is a boneyard for old wagons and coaches. The wide open space is home to lot of animals.
