★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recommend not to pay them entire brokerage until 2-3 weeks after you have moved in and all the repair work is done.
I rented a flat via Suresh. He seemed extremely helpful during the process until he got his brokerage.
First red flag was: we arrived at the new society gate with our entire household furniture to realise we can't move in on that day cause of society office holiday. This was broker's responsibility. (Had this gone south, we would have been in big trouble).
Secondly, after receiving the brokerage he stopped responding. The house was not cleaned properly and there were multiple things broken. The person sent by him for repair work quoted 3X of market rate for repairing. He didn't even help me coordinate with owner to get the repairs done.
In essence he charged me brokerage just to share owners contact details and preparing rental agreement.
