Extraordinary achievements start with unconventional thoughts. He was a man who dared to question, “Why can’t Indians have a home of their own with housing finance in the earlier years of their lives? Why should they have to wait till the end of their working careers?” Though the question was simple, the answer was not so. The uphill task notwithstanding, at an age of 66, when most people think of retirement, Mr. Parekh was determined to set up his most ambitious enterprise.
His lifelong dream of helping Indians own their home, as he had seen abroad during his student days, led to the formation of the Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) in 1977 and as they say, the rest is history.
It was the first of its kind in the country. His setting up of HDFC, without any financial assistance from the Government of India was a milestone in the Indian financial history. It was under Mr. Parekh’s leadership and direction that HDFC grew manifold while being strongly rooted in the principles of integrity, transparency and professionalism.
Mr. Parekh was a man of few words, and believed that strong views need not be expressed in strong words. He had a keen eye for talent and nurtured it by providing direction and ample learning opportunities.
He never underestimated the power of teamwork. He believed that the success of an organization was possible only with a group of dedicated professionals who shared a common goal to serve, and were willing to take reasonable risks.
Soon HDFC became a role model not only for the country but for the entire Asian region. His dream of providing better housing and living conditions for people was accomplished with an organization that was modelled on its international peers but was Indian at heart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a worst experience ever with HDFC loans. The branch is closed. The branch members doesn't have any information or solutions of the issues customer facing. Branch not even attending the customers. Hdfc linger on and never returned back for my quary. I am waiting for foreclosures information for 20 days. Hdfc made false commitment of not charging any foreclosures charges after 2 years of the car loan. However, they are still charging the foreclosure charges and not even giving any information, not responding, customer care have one stait statment to say 'we don't have informan and someone will call u back within 7 working days' and no one calls forever.
Please do not opt the loan services of HDFC bank

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These people are so shameless that they will give you in written that they have processed your refund and refund will not arrive even after 2 months .. even after following up for 2 months they will not refund your amount. I have complete mail thread with Disha Singh, Kunal Ghosh, Aditya Shah, Janendra Kaushik giving me false claims.
Never trust these guys and do any banking service with them.
I repeat NEVER EVER do any business with these people

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have visited noida 62 branch multiple times but never see the value towards customer time.. they treat as if we work for 8 hours customer should wait for atleast 2 -3hours..
Dont know whats wrong but request HDFC to value for customer time as well they are not here to work.. like ur employees.. open more counters incase of rush

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have applied for home loan from HDFC which is very big mistake of life, the empaneled lawyer is very greedy and expected 1% of total value of property as fees, , sales executive and manger never respond after taking processing fees , other bank is better than employee , send many email to customer care but did not receive single reply

Also to note, no parking space.
