Hemant Oberoi, a name well known in the culinary industry. A real life hero, an inspiration to all of us, opened up his own restaurant in the private areas of the Bandra Kurla Complex. The experience of fine dining, redefined. Huge ceiling, french windows that go from ceiling to the floor, luxurious, velvet furnishings, exquisite crockery and glassware. Words cannot define the amount of luxury and experience that we get here. Hospitality is beyond expectations, the staff is worth 5 stars and each and every small thing is taken care of with exquisite nature. I visited for the Sunday brunch with a few friends as we were in the mood to indulge. We started with glasses of red wine and moved on to the mezze laid on the table. What I liked about the buffet table is that there were individual small containers, which we could pick up for ourselves, instead of picking up from one big bowl. This is was defines fine dining, a difference between the regular buffet and a luxurious fine dine buffet. Hummus : A perfect cold mezze, the right amount of flavor in the hummus. Baba Ghanouj : Made of aubergines, amazing, smooth, smoky flavor. Loved it with pita bread. Quinoa Tabbouleh : My favorite salad from now on, a cute small bowl in which they serve this. Fresh ingredients, never knew quinoa could be this good. Cold Cut Meats - Pork pepperoni, Chicken Salami, Turkey Salami : Very fresh, very smoothly cut. Loved it. Assorted Cheese : No explanation required. Fresh cheese, loved having with wine. Mini Burrata : Fresh Mozzarella along with sun-dried tomatoes. Perfectly balanced. The following food items were served to us on the table.. Thyme and Broccoli Cappuccino : I never knew I would have something this healthy. They serve it in small, cute, espresso cups, with a celery stick. Loved it. Chicken Anticuchos : Chicken pieces marinated and cooked in skewers in Peruvian spices and then finished off on the tandoor. Chicken was so perfectly cooked that it melted in the mouth. Spiciness and flavor was just yumm yumm yumm. I could eat it forever. Edamame and Chestnut Dumplings : One more unexpected love of mine. Edamame is the last thing I would have at home or choose to have any where, but tried it here after my friends said its good. It changed my perspective of edamame. The outer cover of the dumplings was cooked perfectly, edamame and chestnut flavor was just delicious. Brie and Truffle Souffle : A 5star dish, I can never praise this dish enough. I am so in love with this dish, I didnt want to eat anything else and just wished that my plate wouldn't be empty and that I could keep eating the souffle forever n forever n forever.. The truffle flavor was so so prominent, that upon serving the dish, we instantly fell in love. ne bite and I was in heaven. Second bite and I didn't wana come back. It literally was melt in the mouth, I didn't have to chew on it coz it was just so soft. They served this with a toasted bread on the side, which helped in finishing the liquids from the souffle. I am going back for this again n again. Mini Lacy Lamb Sliders : This was a mini burger. Juicy, lamb patty, with an omelette inside, and onion and tomato slices, in between fresh burger bun. Amazing. Lamb flavor was so fresh and the omlette just complimented the lamb. For desserts, we got all 3 desserts in one plate. Red Velvet Cake - Soft, fresh, flavorful. Trio of Chocolate - Must have for chocolate lovers, very very soft. Mango Cheesecake - Heaven on plate. A mango piece on top, and baked cheesecake on the bottom. Best cheesecake of my life. The whole time that we spent here was worth every penny, indeed.. Its a place that makes you wana come back, for the food and for the experience and of course the hospitality.

A mixed bag experience overall. Phenomenal decor and exceptional service but average food. The lamb in the ragout was rubbery. Dessert was well below expectations. Chicken zurichoisse, asparagus cappuccino, Hargo and risotto were good.

Went there for our anniversary dinner. Was really looking forward to an awesome experience (after all, flagship restaurant... it's by the legend himself). These are our takes... 1. Ambience: Bad. I mean yes the overall ambience is fine but the chairs are terrible, uncomfortable, can't sit properly because of the tables. Something needs to be done ASAP. No legspace, too much manspreading needed :( I guess this is an issue with the 2 seaters. 2. Food. We decided to go for the 6 courses set menu. The food was all good and tasty and extremely well presented. We had the perushi which came on a tiny chair, lovely presentation. tasted OK. The crab meat sphere was good, esp the bisque, but we have had far better tasting and more innovative phoochkas in Kolkata (Bohemian), esp the puri itself wasn't that great. The beet cured salmon was too good. Small in portion but that's OK. The Chilean sea-bass was very good, esp the rice and spinach part. Was the prawn really good (not fresh? not so sure)? The lamb shanks tasted very good. I am not a big lamb fan but it was OK this time. Great jus. A sorbet was served as palate cleanser. Avoidable. The peru peru mocktail was average. The best part was after all the chocolate shawarma... it wasn't part of the set menu but they were kind enough to include that on request. Best chocolate dish we ever had in Mumbai. Period. Looked great while it was getting curved by the chef. Wonderful rose petal ice cream to go along with that. Oh I missed the signature dish, was it the ceviche? Looked OK but tasted heavenly! 3. Service: Very good. Every dish was explained in detail. The table was well attended. 4. Value For Money? Absolutely not. I understand it's fine dining and all, but ~15k for 2 of us for a 6 course meal is not justifiable by any standard. To put things in perspective, Masala Library BKC, which isn't exactly a roadside dhaba charges ~3k per person for a 12 course tasting menu. But yes, it was our anniversary, so, I guess once in a while such splurging is fine! :)

Hemant oberoi is a fine dine restaurant located at B.K.C. the ambience is superb.place is neat and tidy. Service is good. Staff is humble. Food is delicious and perfectly curated. I loved the way that have made the place. Seating is spacious with vibrant colors. They have a restaurant and bar as a different section. And that's made in a very subtle way. We went there for Sunday buffet and the variety was great. The spread was nice. The spread included Sushi taco Breads Hummus Baba ghanouj Perushi Quinoa tabbouleh Mini burrata/sun dried tomatoes Cheese platter Tortilla pizza Thyme and broccoli capuchino Corn anticuchos Truffle souffle Paneer Tikka pita Fondue slider Korean vegetables Chocolate pastries Red velvet pastries Mango pastries Over all we had an amazing experience. Loved the way food was made and presented. Very neat, hygienic and well served. Place is so beautiful and staff too. it's a child friendly place and valet is available.

Excellent 5* quality food, good ambience, excellent service made it a memorable experience. Both Indian and Continental ( Pastas ) cuisines were good as were the Oriental cuisine Wontons. The desserts were also unique and best quality. Each dish ordered deserved 5 stars. Definitely recommend this as a very good place for special celebrations

Ambience waise, it is finesse. But quality of food is fairly okay... It is absolutely not worth the money you pay for... I had the worst dal makhani here... Highlights of the food menu only being the steamed wantons and butter garlic naan and the gulab jamun tiramisu (though the dessert can be layered better).... Do not try the paneer pita pockets not worth it... Food taste and quantity needs a super super upgrade. Not a happy experience
