★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Winters mean cozy afternoons reading a novel and eating your grandmother's specially made nolen gurer pathisapta.
Now that I live away from home for years it's been quite sometime that have eaten pithe that reminds me of my childhood ones.
Although today I had a gastronomic experience at Hindusthan Sweets at the launch of their Pithe Puli Utsav launched by none other than
Kushal Chakraborty.
The choices are varied and the taste is surely lip-smacking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience today. There is no sweet shop so far I know who charge for a plastic carry bag. If they want to charge, they should atleast give a paper bag.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most dishes are Excessively & unnecessarily sugary. Imagine eating your favorite byriani with a whole cup of salt....this shop uses sugar just like that. Taste of some items is still decent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small Indian sweet meat shop at Jadavpur area in the south Kolkata. Quality sweets are available here at a reasonable price. They maintain covid norms. Hot & tasty " Singara", from 4 pm onward is a great attraction there .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good ? ? ? sweet shop, it's has many outlets in kolkata. The main shop is at 8 B bus ? stand, Jadavpur. The quality of the sweet items is high standard and very innovative in nature. The price is reasonable. The hygiene of the products is the utmost priority of them.

I myself won't! Those "Telebhaja" shops near 8B have another charm all together.
But just give them a try if you happen to be around here.
The Vada Pav was so well made! Perfectly fresh soft Pav with a spicy spicy real spicy Aloo vada! Oof, if it wasn't for that Sweet chutney, I would definitely have to get myself a Dessert! "Spicy Food Alert"
The Dhokla was pretty well soaked in Sugar syrup, I loved the freshness of the food here.
And finally the lassi! Always make sure, you try the lassi from Hindusthan Sweets. You can't miss this. The curd used is so dense, the lassi is so dense?. Fresh fruits were used in this.

Got Sugar free sandesh, kaju burfi, pesta burfi, Malpoa, rasagolla, etc.
They were packed perfectly.
Malpoa was a bit hard, but fine.
Others were fresh and perfect. Guests loved it as well. This marks another fav sweet store
