Went here today for donating dry ration of a month for kids.Believe me u can not find as much peace and inner satisfaction anywhere in the world as u get here. The sisters running this centre are very soft spoken and very good.Due to covid I was not able to meet the children but still I felt so good after donation n talking to them.very genuine place.will go more often here now.

I went to the orphanage today and I am highly disappointed with the behaviour of the senior caretaker over there. She was extremely rude. I wanted to go there to spend some good time with kids but due to her rude behaviour, I am not going to visit again. To begin with, I took an appointment for evening as I wanted to distribute some snacks to the kids. And I got a bit late due to which she denied me distributing anything saying that they had already eaten now which I agreed to without asking any question thinking that’s it’s my fault I reached late. However what I really didn’t like is that one of the kids came and asked for some food item but she denied serving anything. I understand that there are timings but if a kid is asking for one item, what harm would it cause! Nonetheless, I checked with her if I can see infants upstairs which as expected she denied saying that they will get infection. I was still okay and could see a valid reason for objection. Then I saw kids playing in the ground and I wanted to spend some time with the kids, interact and play with them. In fact, I took along my 2 year old nephew as well so that he can interact or play with them too. The kids were happily holding my hand, willing to play with me and my nephew but she objected to that as well. And asked us to leave in a very rude tone. And that’s when I found things a bit fishy as if she is trying to hide something! I really don’t know but I am failed to understand the problem in interacting with the kids. She simply wanted me to drop the food items and leave from that place. And now I am uncertain if all the food items are actually given to the kids! In short, I cannot trust the organisation which does not allow me to interact with kids so I won’t go again here.

Holy Cross orphanage is run by Holy cross sisters. They are committed in taking care of the Children. I felt happy when ever I visited this place. Taking care of small children is not at all easy. They need special love and affection. Congratulations to Sisters for your love towards Children and providing them joyful atmosphere to grow.

After nearly 14 years, i can still remember this place after i got adopted where i spet 3 long years. In those years it was like the hell and burning alive, but now i know how happy that im not jet dead. Those, i think were my best childhood time, but then i got adopted to an italian family, now i know how hard is leaving in India when yuo are poor.
