★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a scam. Do not go there if you want to have a descent time in Mumbai. The room was booked with booking. They had already given away tge room telling us it is not their problem or mistake that the room was not available. They were playing completely crazy. They also insisted to pay their booking fee!!!! That's insane. Last but not least when I was not there they picked the phone from my female friend and they rated their own hotel with 5 stars. They also are treating their personnel with no dignity!!!! The owners are what we say unethical, toxic masculine trash !!!!! Believe me you do not want to deal with these kind of people because they do not connect at any rational level. So sad!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Janata was the worst hotel were we ever went. According to booking it seems to be a nice place, but the only one which was good was the location. The room was covered with artificial grass giving a strong plastic smell the whole day long. In combination without a window even worst. The bathroom was dirty and the shower / water was not working. Finally, it was just possible to pay cash, which was not the case online. That all would be fine, if one would get the same information and impression from the announcement on booking. Due to our experience with Hotel Janata in contrast to the recommendation and pictures on booking we think that on should defenetly look for an alternative as we did.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good pressure in the shower. Good exhaust fan.
AC and Fan both were provided. Good house keeping. Low prices . Location is close to all popular joints and sites in colaba. Rooms are tiny but ok for 2 people to sleep for the night . They could be made a little neater and presentable to get return customers.

Small and cosy room. Cleanliness of the bed can be improved.
Good for people travelling on low budget.
Great location, just a strolling walkable distance away from the arch.monument The Gateway of India and The Taj Mahal Palace.
Friendly staff and service.
Mr.Samson was very hospitable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor and worst hospitality. Never book your room from Hotel Janata, Colaba.
I am regretting that I wasted my Rs.1500/- on this booking for celebrating New year in Mumbai. It doesn't worth Rs.500/- even.
You can see that I have uploaded many real picture which I've experienced. Sharing my views below:
1. Stairs and Entrance gate totally garbage.
2. Once you enter in there room, there is very stinky smell that you can't even stand for long.
3. Everywhere damp/seelan in the roof.
4. Unhygienic and dirty washroom and bed.
5. Flush doesn't work.
6. There is TV which doesn't even work.
Just because I booked and paid one month prior, I had to survive in the room. And when I asked them change the room, they don't have other.
Don't waste your time and money on this hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst possible experience. I made an online booking on a popular app. When I reached the placed, they just denied it, said no rooms are vacant. The guy at reception wasn't friendly. It was after many repeated complaints that I received the refund of the paid amount. The room was hotel was shady too. Beware...go anywhere but not here...
