Old place yet serves very authentic food.
Masala dosa, coffee , uppitu ( kharabath) , rava idli , vade are the best.
Infact everything here is best .
Place is locked in a time wrap. Still the same old style of seating yet taste has not changed.
They use disposable organic leaf plates. Hence hygienic.
Do try out if you are in Malleswaram.

β β β β β This is one of the restaurant of old times. Had opportunity today to visit after long time for breakfast, so was excited to taste its masaladosa, vada sambar.
Dosa was good but the masala baaji inside was ok and some kind of red chutney was mixed with the baaji with avg taste. Green Chutney was poured into the plate, again did not taste good. Vada sambar was good.
Asked for parcel, the response from staff was it is going to take 30 to 45 mins, due to heavy crowd. However half the tables were empty inside.
Overall I felt Janata hotel is not same as what we enjoyed 15 years back. It has lost its charm..

β β β β β Been coming here since I was a small boy. The taste has remained the same. Can't beat the vada sambar here!! The cleanliness could be improved but the heavenly taste makes up for it!

β β β β β This is very good place for dine in great breakfast so fresh and good taste idly and vadΔ. I personally like there upma and vada sambar. And order coffee it's very good. The price is reasonable and service is good.

β β β β β Another Legendary Breakfast Joint in Malleswaram, Bangalore. As you enter the restaurant, you get the vibes of the old Bangalore. The place serves Good Dosa, Idli Vada and Pulav. Pulav has a unique taste along with the raita they provide. Goes even well when combined with the sambar they have. Worth a place to try for breakfast. Do not miss the filter office in the end.

The inner section where you can be seated smells awful!
Better to order food rather than sit in the ill maintained ambience..
Taste is superb!! That is the only reason for giving 2 stars...

β β β β β In the hustle and bustle of the Malleshwaram market lies this unassuming , rather lethargic restaurant which reminds us of old Bengaluru. Seating and ambience very much like old Bengaluru, this places serves some amazing breakfast.
Dishes to try : Masala dosa, Vada sambhar , goli bhajji
This places gives a good feel for the 80βs

β β β β β Times have changed so the level of service. Now janata hotel encourages people to take home parcel than eat there. Very few seats and servers are left now. But the chutney, sambar and Dosa remains class apart. People still flock and enjoy breakfast here. Coffee was also strong and authentic. Wada sambar dip is a must try, and masala dosa is not to be missed.
