β β β β β Awesome place...
Best to visit during monsoons...
One can camp on top in night too during winters.. But have to be careful of mosquitos and monkeys...
It's gets steep from shiv mandir just a mountain top.
Great place to enjoy with friends....
Except for the Rock Cut Steps, Hanumanji Carving and Shiv Temple there is nothing much to visit on top.
Be very careful if you choose to climb up the broken rock cut steps in Rains as it gets really slippery and dangerous as u will not find anything to hold on but just a deep valley if u lose balance.
Overcharging Guides ... As they are only useful to show u the path during rains and fog. Try to negotiate as they should not charge anywhere more than 250 bucks...

β β β β β One Day Bike Ride + Trek!!! (140kms from Mumbai)
Awesome place!! Very easy trek!
- Ride early morning to Igatpuri, Enjoy Scenic Kasara ghat with waterfalls and Curvy roads.
- After Igatpuri there is tarmac road(with potholes) till base village. Park your bikes/Cars there.
-Hire a guide (100-200Rs.) Bcoz way to the fort goes through farms which may be confusing for the first timers.
-Caves at the base and beautiful Waterfall on the way.
- It takes nearly 45min(or 1hr) to reach top. Very easy!
- Once you reach mid level, there are two paths! Follow left path and head towards hidden steps. Climbing those steps is thrill (not difficult though)
- Enjoy the surrounding view and temple at the top.
Best time to visit: Monsoon

β β β β β It is beautiful fort.
The nearest railway station as well as the way to reach there is Igatpuri.
It's around 9-10 km from Igatpuri.
The road is mix type means some point it is awesome and at some points it's off-road.
The base village for this fort is named as Patryachiwadi.
You have to park your vehicles here and start climbing.
Initially there is a cave at shortest distance.
The cave is from 10th Century and one Buddhist follower was there in 12th century.
Next stop is the mid of fort from where you get 2 choices.
One either from left or from right.
If you preferred to go by left side, you will experience the thrilling of climbing by steps.
Once you climb the steps there is Hanuman statue which is carve in rock and that indicates you reached up on fort.
From here you have to go up further to see awesome and beautiful scenery of nature.
The bridge of Middle Vaitarna Dam, Tringalwadi Dam and many more beautiful views can be seen from the top of the fort.
On top there is a temple of God Shankar, one water tank.
The walls of that tanks are collapsed and also there is nothing more to see related to fort.

β β β β β Easy trekβ¦ Great place for photographyβ¦
The fort is located near village Tringalwadi. It does not have any fort walls existing except unique entrance door and natural fortification. The Tringalwadi irrigation dam which is close to the village was built in 1978. The village Tringalwadi has located 7 km from Igatpuri. Igatpuri is located on Mumbai-Nashik Railway route as well as National Highway NH 160.There are two routes to reach the village Tringalwadi from Igatpuri first one passes through Igatpuri town and the other is by taking a northern exit to NH160 at Ghoti, further passing through village Balayaduri. The Tringalwadi fort is located on a hill which runs north-south. It is a mesa rock formation. The climb is very easy and takes about 1.5 hrs to reach the top of the fort from the village.
The fort top is grassy with only a few water tanks and a couple of ruins. We rested and ate, gazing at the mountains around and then walked along the grassy expanse towards a small temple. In front of the temple is a βtrishulβ and a flag. With a majestic mountain as a backdrop, this is an ideal point to snap pics. From the temple, we climbed up to reach the highest point of the fort. There is nothing much here except for the view of the countryside. The silence and beauty was wonderful
It was a perfect place for photography and we made the most of it by clicking on everything that looked interesting.
