★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An old auditorium with a history mingled with Indian freedom. So many stalwarts left their footsteps here. Present condition is not good. Hall is not well maintained. Seat capacity 200 with a provision of increasing 100. Dias is small. But cost is very low for hiring. It is INR 2100 for 3 hrs. and 400 extra for every one hr. You will get a public address system with one microphone within this price. Meetings, seminars can be held easily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Founded by Surendranath Banerjee in 1876, it is one of the oldest public meeting place in Kolkata. Any forum can book this hall for certain hours at a very cheap price. It is a well known place for civil society programs continuing the tradition from the British' India.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Large Auditorium but lacked in Proper Toilet and absence in Air Conditioners. Though it's bearing old heritage but renovation is required pertaining to seating arrangements, proper ventilation and basic amenities.
Overall it can be a good venue for small meetings for Education as well as Office Work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hall is easily accessible by bus and Metro(Central station, gate no:2). The hall is situated in an old building. I attended a conference here. It does not have the modern amenities. There was no system for PPT. Microphone was disturbing all day. There is no drinking water. Poor toilet. One basin and sink.
