No food stalls both inside and outside. No food stalls nearby. You gotta walk for atleast 6-9mins to get food. Interval was extremely short. The sound effects and video were good. I went for a movie which ended at 2:00-2:30pm and had to struggle in the sun, while looking where to get lunch.

Although the cinema hall is small, yet if you wish watch a movie in low budget, then this is a decent place. This hall also gives retro vibes. Its easy to reach as it just a 2-3 min walk from bhowanipur police station.

If this were a rating scale instead of a star rating, I would've readily picked 0 as the score. Terrible, that's the word. It's surprising such a theatre still exists. The seats are old and worn out. The walls are dirty. There's no central air conditioning. There are innumerable splits ACs fitted to the walls. When I entered, the fans were still running. The usher was so rude!! The screen's dirty as well. The only saving grace is the sound. Terrible, yes, that's the word

This is one of the oldest cinema hall in town. Bit small in size with good sound quality according to ticket pricing, it's very pocket friendly. They don’t have their parking place, it is available around the hall. Easy to access and convenience.

Kolkata's love for cinema needs no introduction. We all know how much passionate this city is when it comes to movies and music. Hence, cinema halls have always remained an integral part in the lives of Kolkatans. With changing times and increased competition, there are some heritage cinema halls that have still managed to survive. One such single-screen theatre is the Indira Cinema, which has witnessed the changing times, yet still standing strong amidst the tough competition from multiplexes like Inox & PVRs. During my maiden visit to this iconic theatre to watch Gangubai Kathiawadi, I was left delighted with the overall experience. The ticket price over here is extremely moderate. As soon as you enter the theatre buliding, you can see some historical posters of old cinemas on the walls, which were once showcased in this theatre. A beautiful portrait of Mahanayak Uttam Kumar is placed right near the entrance of the hall. The seats are comfortable enough for the price that you pay & the screen size is not too big. The sound quality is good, but certainly not comparable to the likes of Inox or PVR standards. Apparently, it's a decent cinema hall to visit, especially for the ones who would like to get a taste of the olden single-screen theatre days. Recommended.??
