Jaivana canon is placed inside Jaigarh Fort. It was world's largest canon on the wheel at that time. Jaivana canon was manufactured inside Jaigarh Fort itself. This canon was never used in any battle. This canon was fired only once. It is said that projectile fired from this canon made a small lake in Chaksu, Jaipur which is 50km from Jaigarh Fort.

Apparently the largest cannon in the world. It's a short climb up once you reach Jaigarh fort. My guide told me it was tested only once, and took about 4 elephants to reposition and move the cannon around.

Such a big canon. Well maintained place. Clean and tidy. It would have been better if shades were available as the sun is scorching during afternoon time.

The Jaivana Cannon (Hindi: जयवाण) is a large 18th-century cannon preserved at Jaigarh Fort, in Rajasthan, India. At the time of its manufacture in 1720, it was the world's largest cannon on wheels of the Early Modern Era.

This place is inside Jaigarh fort. For which ticket price for adults is 150₹. You can take your vehicle inside the palace but there is extra charges for that. Not much attraction apart from Jaivana Cannon, but view is great.

As there was massive threat to Ameer kingdom from foreign invadors and local rulers of India. In the period of Maharaj Siwai Jaisingh ll (1899-1744) The Jaivana cannon which was manufactured in Jaigarh fort premises of cannon foundry between 1715-1720, this was considered as the World largest cannons of Early mediaeval period on wheels which can make the firing angle in 360° Digree & it face resembles the Elephant head, Firing power is considered as the power of 4elephants). This cannon was not used in any war activity as there was no such mighty usage of defending system in defence after manufacturing it, this cannon was only fired 1time that is also for testing it, ( , Weight, Dimensions, Quantity of Firing material is in the photos which i had attached with this content just check it). Comming to firing & handling of this cannon,it has the range about 35-40 km in distance, it requires 100kg of gunpowder & 50kg cannon ball. When it was fired the peeson handling gunpowder of that cannon runaway and jumped into the water tank to protect himself from body burning that was created by cannon. The mighte firing sound created inpact in many pregnant women's has lost their pregnancy (Miscarriages their pregnancy), Many old-age people lost their Hearing capability. The fired ball fell near by CHAKSU village which us about about 45-50km from the jaigarh fort, it created an lake/pound in that place and that pond, lake is still in use by villagers, After testing this cannon it was never used or fired again.

Massive cannon located at the Jaigarh fort. This is probably the main attraction here. The area is well maintained, neatly labelled and cleaned. This is apparantly the world's largest cannon, and one look at it doesn't leave room for any doubt. You can also walk around the fort to just chill or enjoy the beautiful views here. Time to be spent is here an hour, two if you want to relax and walk around the entire fort
