It is the junction from where roads divert to Budge Budge, Behala Parnasree and Ramnagar (Metiabruz). One portion comes under Kolkata 700088 while other part comes under Kolkata 700060.
You can buy your daily needs products.

Both retail & wholesale market is available.
Along with vegetables the place contains a section of fresh fishes at a reasonable pricing.
Fruit sections average & only retail shops are available with moderate pricing.
The best is the vegetables,you can get a bundles of vegetables packed contain various vegetables as low as ₹30-₹50 on the roadside. Do not hesitate to buy because these are actually fresh & good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jinjira Bazar vegetable wholesale market, 2 kms away from Taratola more, Diamond Harbour Road. Not very area, hardly 100m. But place is very very crowded. Entire retailers of south Kolkata mainly concerning this market.
This market is divided by two sides. Right side is mainly retailers Veg shoppers and left side is complete wholesale market. So both sides price is different.
Individual may from this wholesale prices for their domestic purposes, but remember you have to buy 'ONE PALLA' at least in each vegetable. 'ONE PALLA' means 5kg.
However there is tricky way to get the chance to buy from there. At the time when they are packing their items, around 5pm to 6pm, they allow you to buy 1kg or 2kg. But you have to carefully to negotiate the price.
However from normal corporation market you will get 100 time cheaper at Jinjira Bazar. For instance, today's 18/12/2021 Green Chilli --- I bought Rs 20 for 500gm, Brinjal 40 rupees kilo, cauliflower 10 rupees per piece, bins 60 rupees per kilo and many more.
Since it is a wholesale market place is very crowded and not easy to move. But vegetables are fresh and green.
It's good if you have any occasion in your family do visit this place you will not regret.
