★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of the best polytechnic colleges in West Bengal.
Placements: It is one of the most prominent polytechnic colleges in West Bengal. It is a polytechnic college in Mominpore and is run by the government of West Bengal. Every year more than 70% of the students got placed in different companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is world-class. The girls' hostel is available, but there is no boys' hostel. The mess is available with the fee of Rs. 5,000 per month. Canteen facilities are available, and the quality of food is overall good. First aid is available for 24x7. The environment is healthy, and it is a ragging-free campus, which is strictly prohibited.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is much relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Moreover, the college offers 6-months industrial training for the betterment of students. Overall, I have an amazing experience.
Other: I have chosen this course because of its scope of getting placed in companies. I wish that the college authority should give more pressure to sports. Annual fest, annual sports, freshers, etc., are conducted. The campus is not overcrowded. Connectivity is outstanding, and the surroundings are also excellent. Many scholarships are offered, and extracurricular activities are well-nurturing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic (JCGP) is an old, renowned, reputed and good institute in West Bengal. It is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) & PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) and affiliated to WBSCTVESD.
• Here total 5 diploma courses are being taught. Details are given below.
•• 3-years Diploma: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
••• Admission through: JEXPO exam
••• [Or] 2nd-year direct admission through VOCLET exam
•• 2-years Diploma: Pharmacy.
••• Admission through: CET exam
• Being a govt institute, total fee of courses are very nominal compared to the non-govt/private institutions. Thus, helping poor students to achieve their goals. Placement records are also good & students are recruited by well-known companies.
• The institute is situated in South-West Kolkata & well connected with bus and train routes.
•• DH road is located a little next to it. One can go on foot from Mominpore Bus-stop.
•• Nearest station is Majerhat Station. (Although Remount Road station is more near, and trains available to Remount Station from Majerhat, but trains are very limited in that route.)
• Campus environment is pleasant. Canteen facility is also available. During covid-19 situation, online classes are also been held.
• Teachers are good & classmates are friendly. Together it's called JNANE Family. I studied here mechanical engineering & I feel fortunate to be a part of this institute.

It has four branches of engineering - Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering , Electrical engineering, and electronics and Telecommunications engineering and also pharmacy courses.Students of this polytechnic are well placed in India and also in abroad. I feel proud to be a part of it.

Its situated in Mominpore - which is a part of Khidderpore. It's very convenient to reach here coz there is a lot of public transport available to reach here. It's a very famous college of WB.
