★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jorasanko Thakur Bari (Bengali: House of the Thakurs (anglicised to Tagore)) in Jorasanko, North Kolkata, West Bengal, India, is the ancestral home of the Tagore family. It is currently located on the Rabindra Bharati University campus at 6/4 Dwarakanath Tagore Lane, Jorasanko, Kolkata 700007.It is the house in which the poet and first non-European Nobel laureate in Literature, Rabindranath Tagore was born. It is also the place where he spent most of his childhood and died on 7 August 1941.

Entry prices are Rs.20/- for adults and Rs.10/- for students and if you want to click photos inside the premises, then you have to pay Rs.50/ separately per device. So, the very minimal and affordable cost to spend some beautiful moments out there. But the staff is very rude and impolite. Previously it was under Rabindra Bharati University but now it is completely a museum. Here you can find rooms used by Rabindranath Thakur and his other family members and many articles, a car used by Tagore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very calm and serene. It's so much like a bhool bhulaiya inside! We could gather a lot of knowledge about the great poet. Photography inside the museum is not allowed. Outside the museum, if you want to click pictures, they charge Rs. 50 for each gadget. For students, the price of the ticket is 10 rupees; for adults, 20 rupees. One should also keep the vaccination certificate in their mobiles.

Entry prices are 20 Rs for adults and 10 Rs for students and if you want to click photos inside the premises , then you have to pay 50 Rs seperately per device. So , very minimal and affordable cost to spend some beautiful moments out there. The ambience is so good that you will feel that peaceful vibe which will captivate you. Inside the Tagore's House it's a huge place and you will require some time to roam around and observe the whole area meticulously. You will be wondered and astonished for sure. Every wall every corner has a story.
My mother being an ex-student, I had the urge to visit and experience the charm where this Great man had once lived.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must visit for Tagore lovers. You will get to know a lot about Rabindranath Tagore. But the staff is very rude and impolite. Photography is not allowed inside. Outside also it's chargeable ₹50. The main entrance is on the main road. Google map shows the entrance through a side road don't follow that, ask the locals for directions. The place is very well decorated and maintained.
