A 5 star hotel with an average buffet. Went on a sunday so couldn't enjoy the ambience as place was overcrowded. Food quality was good but everything was cold. That just ruined the overall impression. Couldn't believe the plates were scratched and dirty and the table was shaky! Staff was too busy to provide us with towels and they even forgot about the drinks which was included in the booking. Deserts tasted bad and the cakes were full size so people had to cut it on their own. It was like a self service buffet experience in an indian wedding lol. Not a good experience for such a high price.

This place is outstanding. One of the finest luxuray hotels in Kolkata. The experience was simply outstanding. The buffet was really good. You also get a complementary beer. We enjoyed the main course a lot. Starters need to improve. However, you have lots of options to try from. A must visit place if you want to experience luxuray.

If you want 5 star restaurant experience within budget, then this is the place. You can have a weekday lunch buffet at just ₹1711 per person. The food quality is not up to the mark but satisfactory.

Went for the dinner buffet. Was a bit apprehensive because there are many average or bad reviews on the internet, but I was pleasantly surprised. To start off, the ambience and décor is absolutely beautiful, and is what one expects from a 5-star hotel as reputed as JW Marriott. The tables are large and the chairs are comfy, making sure you feel at ease while dining. Coming to the menu, there were a huge variety of options including Asian, North Indian, Continental and Bengali cuisine. I felt both the non-veg and vegetarian options were sufficient in number. All the food items tasted fresh and delicious. All the chicken and seafood items were really good. The live counters for roti, naan, pasta, chowmein, etc. were wonderful as well. The best part however was the dessert counter. There were at least 25 varieties of desserts, including both Western desserts and traditional Bengali desserts, all of which tasted great. Only the drinks option was limited to either a single mocktail or a glass of soft drink. The staff were courteous and helpful, and counters were refilled promptly when emptied. The charge per head came to around INR 2,050/- all inclusive. Overall, definitely worth the money to me. If you want a wonderful buffet spread and some fine dining, JW Marriott is the place to go. Overall, a definite recommend.

Over all it was a good experience but as compared to other places JW Kitchen had very selective food options on the Sunday. Certain food when finished, were not even refilled.

We went to have the lunch buffet for my birthday.. The hotel has a good vibe but the buffet options could be better. Indian items were good but there was literally no sea food items in the buffet also less drinks option available. The dessert section was good though .. For the price of almost 1800 per buffet it needs to improve a bit. Also there was a cheese sections and the plum nut green salad was amazing ..

Excellent dining option in Kolkata. If you would like to enjoy the ambience of a five star hotel accompanied by good food then this is the place. Starters are good. But no Sea food. Main course is good as well. Live pasta and noodle counters are good as well. Desserts are ultimate. You will get all the options possible. We got a buffet deal including welcome drink and two bottles of bear per pax. Very much recommended.
