★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lal Bangla Mausoleums, unfortunately, is hidden place of history in a golf resort area of New Delhi. Although it looks closed, there is an access through the entrance of that resort. You only need to ask the porters for possibility to visit it. There are two tombs with a little different architectural composition. Not such a common one as those others in Delhi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is so heartening to see that Delhi has so much in its history that wherever you look, you'll find tomb or mosque or a monument or a mausoleum. Lal Bangla just outside Delhi Golf club is one such protected monument which is not known by many. Untouched yet by general public that this place is not carved with stupid names and neat and clean. What a refreshing visit to this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a small and historic place with two graves at one place while three at other. The two graves of Mother & Daughter of Shah Alam-II lie inside a room are visible but the rest three belonging to the family of Mughal Emperor Akbar-II are not visible anywhere in the complex.
The tomb lies inside Delhi Golf Club and is not visible from the road though it is on the road. Very few people come to this place.
The tomb has been made beautifully and in a very inspiring building design. It is a must visit place for history and architecture lovers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Lal Bangla Mausoleums are 3 Mughal era tombs for the family of Emperor Shah Alam II. The tombs inside are for Lal Kunwar and Begum Jaa, mother and sister respectively of the emperor. The tombs are unmistakably late Mughal era tombs of square plan, with large Mughal domes and unusual fluted columns.
The tombs are located inside Delhi Golf club and you need to check in with security to be able to visit, but there’s no charge and is open to the public by law. The tombs are not a must see, especially if you’ve already seen the major Mughal era tombs and tomb-gardens in Delhi. It’s a nice diversion if you’re in the Khan Market area to see similar looking tombs without the cost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been trying to visit this place for a long time but was closed due to the lock down. The entrance is adjacent to the Golf Club Main gate and passes via narrow lane that is separated from the golf club campus by a iron grill. There are a few steps to climb with no railings so inaccessible for people with limited mobility. The dome is extremely beautiful and the entire structure is in red sandstone. The premises are not well-maintained and needed cleaning.
