The Red Fort in Delhi, is not only architectural marvel but also witness to some of the most crucial events in the Indian history. The Delhi Red Fort is known by various other titles like Lal Qalʿah (लाल क़िला in Hindi also spelled Lal Kila or Lal Qila) and Qila-e-Mubarak (the blessed fort).

Lal Quila or, the Red Fort is one location which consists of centuries of history of the Indian game of politics - from the days of Isalmic monarchy to today's democracy via the infiltration of British Raj at the city of Delhi, the capital of India! Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, this heritage structure consists of a lot of mahals and baazars within its complex. The British later captured the hold of it, the infamous trial of the I.N.A. led by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in charge of war crime was held here. Today, this place is renowned as a mark of patriotism and the strength of Indian republic. On the special day of Indian independence, i.e., on every 15th August, it's tradition for the Prime Minister of the nation to address the public from this fort along with hoisting the flag with pride.

It was a tiring day. If you are visiting the Red Fort, please make sure you have atleast 4-5 hours to spend there. So that you can get to see each and every part. And carry your water bottle. Huge and historical place. Go and check it out by yourself.

Amazing place. Beautifully built but I think there's lot to do in terms of its conservation as a historical monument. But a pretty place amidst busy Delhi !
