★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place. You can walk through the entire fort. No restriction. Lovely view from the top of the fort. Museum and sculptures are the best things there. Ticket price is 20 ₹ only. Open till 8 pm and close on Monday

Lohagarh Fort, or Iron Fort, is one of the strongest structures in Rajasthan, and a must-visit attraction in Bharatpur. It is its unassailable defence quality that gave it its powerful name when it was built in the early 18th century by Jat ruler Maharaja Suraj Mal. The fort is austere and imposing, and its air of unperturbed strength is what attracts hundreds of tourists to its grounds yearly.
The fort also houses a museum in its arena- the Government Museum. The museum is a good place to learn about the arts of war employed by the rulers of Bharatpur and take a look at the various war related artefacts that were used for defence in the past. The fort also commands grand views of the region, so visiting it is also a visual treat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is massive beautiful fort surrounded by water from each side. Inside the fort there is Bharatpur Museum, Kishori Mahal, Jawahar burj , Banke Bihari Temple are some major tourist attraction. City is developed inside the fort and whole city view can be seen from the top of burj and Museum .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A less explored fort in Rajasthan. One can plan for 2 days 1 night stay in Bharatpur and must visit the fort in late afternoon 6-8 PM to experience the illuminated fort. A must visit for all traveller.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this fort in December. The fort has been well renovated. Some pieces of original walls of the fort have been kept for display. There is a small museum inside the fort displaying the old artifacts.
The view from the top of the fort is amazing. One can see the whole Bharatpur city from the top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This one was a pleasant surprise. As a fort, it is comparatively new- the current structure being built in the early 19th century. But they have interesting displays in the museum. There are a few good photo points. Good place to spend 1-1.5 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would definitely give 5 stars for the fort's grandeur and beauty, but here is why my experience was not all that it could have been. The time that I visited the Lohagarh fort (December 2021), only the entrance hall of it was open. The stairs and corridors to access its interiors were closed and locked. The accessible areas of the fort complex, though limited, were built afresh in modern construction, using new stones and tiles, hence I could witness no conservation on the monument. The moment a heritage site gets equiped with new lighting, statues and materials, for me, it loses its charm.
Despite all this, accessing the fort from the road and getting safe parking is easy. The people around the areas are polite and helpful, to guide with directions as well. The story of the king is inscribed, so you can get the required information while visiting the fort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place has quite an awesome view... The trek was really nice and ambience nearby is also great. The place is quite neatly maintained.
The fort is very old and but the place has a lot of history. It is very well built and once you reach the top you will feel the view and the beauty of the fort surrounded by mountains and greenery
