College Darbhanga is the sole institute to realize the dream. Located in the heart of Darghanga City near famous Income Tax Chowk, the Institute has a legacy of more than sixty years. The college imparts teaching up to Postgraduate level in Science, Commerce and Arts. Along with these courses, the college has a vibrant unit of NCC and NSS to groom our girls into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The college has a magnificent past. It was established in the year 1958. This is the 60th year of its existence. It is witness of a huge change in girl’s education and a landmark Centre for women empowerment in past six decades in our country. It owned the responsibility to attain a voyage for wonderful journey of female students for not only excelling in the academic leadership but to regain the respect and proper societal recognition. Our endeavor has been to contribute to higher education not only by enabling students to get a degree in Science, Commerce and Arts, but also by developing in them the ability to think creatively and articulate their thoughts with confidence and conviction. It gives me immense pleasure to state that college has state of art laboratories, ICT enabled class rooms, Wi-Fi campus, canteen, seminar hall, Computer Lab, well maintained Library and sprawling sports field with lush green area and well maintained departments. In short, it is equipped with every facility with one name. Today M. R. M. College, Darbhanga has emerged as an Institute of Excellence and a model college for girl students due to its continuous efforts to remain in the cutting edge of competency and knowledge. The college has not only continued its academic pursuit by producing high quality students and research, but also expanded into various extra-curricular activities to become a comprehensive centre of quality education. Many state level and national events are successfully organized to impart wide exposure to our students. All departments are actively involved in various seminars, workshops, and quiz to provide all round exposure and development of students. M. R. M. College is a jewel in the crown of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, being the oldest women PG Constituent College and the best known women institution under the University umbrella. We, at M. R. M.
