The magnetic laboratory is located near the 108 EMRI and State Institute of Health and Family Welfare Office in Jhalana Dungri area of Jaipur. Various types of magnetic research are done here. According to the information, this institute originated in the geology of the year 1975. Different tests of different types of magnetic changes are conducted in this magnetic laboratory that contribute in the field of mass and science.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jaipur Magnetic Observatory under the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism was established in the year 1975 in the campus of Malviya Regional Engineering College campus to fill the gap between the existing magnetic observatories Alibag and Sabhawala under the Geological Survey of India. This observatory along with Ujjain was established in collaboration with IZMIRAN (USSR) under 145° geomagnetic meridian project. The objective of this project was to have network of magnetic observatories from magnetic equator to magnetic pole. Although this project was for three years only but seeing the importance of these locations in understanding global Sq current system, the Institute decided to make them semi-permanent. Magnetic data from this observatory are sent to H.Q. in near real time.
