One of the oldest temples of Mungeli is the grand temple of Maa Mahamaya, where every year Navaratri is very colorful and Jyoti Kalash is lit, Jyoti Kalash is lit by devotees of many districts of the state. This is often worshiped in the wedding ceremony.
