β β β β β I visited the restaurant during a weekday and I must say that they follow high standards when it comes to dining during covid times. We were greeted by couple of staff members who were very courteous and they also helped us pick the menu. For appetisers we had Thai Dumplings which was mind blowing. I mean for me the quality of Chinese food at a restaurant can be guessed through the effort found behind dumplings. It had a rare lemony texture which was splendid. Additionally we also ordered crispy calamari which was on a South Indian texture. It tasted great. For mains we went for celery and cabbage fried rice along with duck in smoked chilly sauce. The quality of the food was amazing. The favours were coming out so well. I expected the duck to taste a little higher on the spicier note but it fine. The quality of ingredients used was good and the chicken was so tender in the rice. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend you to visit the place if you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine.

β β β β β Expected premium quality from a premium restaurant but turned out to be utter disappointment. In the soup we ordered for delivery there was a bug floating . We tried to reach out to the contact number of restaurant and report the poor quality but the call went unanswered . Didnβt expect this kind of quality and service from the so called big chain

β β β β β Added one more star to the previous rating, because I simply loved the Thai chicken dumpling (with lemon grass). The other items on the menu did not disappoint but weren't exemplary either. The staff is very friendly and caring which is quite nice.
Those were the highlights, but then there are lows as well ... Parking is a small challenge for a bigger vehicle.., the establishment is clean but floors are sticky... Lastly...the food is good but why is it so costly? That dampens the spirit at the end a bit.
But then, surely it is a place for good food.. recommended.

β β β β β I visited this place on Friendship day with my friends. It was crowded. We waited for 15 to 20 mins get a table. Ambience is great. Authentic place for Chinese food. We tried Dimsum, garlic noodles, litchi ice cream, crispy lotus starter. Taste was amazing. Quantity and quality of the food was good. Service could have been faster. This place is overrated. It has both veg and non veg options.

β β β β β We follow this mantra - when you are in doubt eat chinese!
Firstly, Food is decently good to be frank just like most other chinese restaurant but isn't really costlier than the rest(1.7- 2x)... A normal rice bowl costs almost 490 INR which they say it as large but its just our normal bowl! China pearl n other ones are way ahead if you look at return quotient on spent money! I think there is some factor which isnt unknown to me probably authenticity factor.. ?
Secondly, Guy who took order was irritatingly upselling without knowing that he is degrading their own food items.i am very much aware about the appetite of the people around me ending up wasting food most times in other restaurants and denied it.His view was that fried rice will be dry and would need a curry which wasnt the case actually.. Also, while upselling they are missing the fact that 'real' foodies like to eat any flavoured rices in its original sense than mixing with a lot of curries, sauces. Eg: biriyani without raitha, pickle etc..
Verdict: if you are foodie who hops around different hotels most weekends.. this might not be the one for you! If you are somebody who comes out once in a while just to put status in FB/ INSTA or to brag elsewhere this could be a place ?

β β β β β Mainland China is one of the best chienese food restaurant in Whitefield area. The 7 treasure soup and chicken manchow soups are the best in soups to try out. Hunan Prawns and momos in starters are a must try. Quality has dropped little bit post Covid lockdown. But still in my favourite list.
