★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since the time Mamagoto opened its doors in Pune, I wanted to visit this restaurant and indulge into their exquisite food experience. I noticed that it is one of the finest restaurants in Pune.
Location : 5/5
It’s located at the Pavilion mall on Senapati Bapat Road, one of the prime locations in Pune.
Ambience : 5/5
The restaurant is decorated with amazing art that catches your eye as soon as you enter. The ceiling has amazing chandeliers which lit up the space, and the seating arrangement is unique too!
Food : 5/5
The chefs at this restaurant specialise in adding and Indian twist to Japanese, Chinese, Thaï cuisines. The food that is prepares is super delicious and the chef have invented many interesting dishes and sauces over the period of last few years, as confirmed by our very helpful host for the night.
We had ordered oriental clear soup, which was pretty good in taste.
The crispy lotus stem is a MUST-TRY starter. It is actually made up of lotus stem, cut diagonally or horizontally, and fried in olive oil. It is served with some tangy sauce which instantly awakens the tastebuds with its amazing taste.
We also tried the Hua-him highway rolls which are filled with cheese and are super good.
We ended our exquisite dinner with Mama’s home-made chocolate cake. This is again a MUST-TRY and I assure you that you won’t ever regret ordering this dessert. It is super gooey and chocolaty, yet it’s not over-sweet. The chefs make it sweet in the perfect amount, making you literally gobble the whole cake up.
If you plan to visit this place, I assure you, you’ll have an amazing time for you can enjoy excellent quality food!
I’m super delighted with my experience and I’ll hop in again soon enough to try some new dishes!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The opening of Mamagoto in Pune has been much anticipated, and the hype generated by all he paid bloggers & social media posts made it appear to be not what it quite was. Don’t get me wrong, there wasn’t a thing I was disappointed with but it just didn’t live up to the way the food critics and all made it out to be. I get it that you get paid so you write and snap your best but you need to keep it real because making a good restaurant appear to be fabulous only makes people anticipating it to be fantastic feel extremely let down.
The food was good nothing I would “die for” or crave but yet delicious and my choice of food if I were here again. The prices are quite high for the kind of establishment.
Nice meal but I’ll come when I’m here next not coming here for the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered chicken wings and mama spicy ramen bowl, the quantity was great. I loved the taste of food, but I was expecting the spicy bowl to be more spicy. Ambience and service was good. They also provide complementary rice chips. I would visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a place which serves some authentic Asian cuisine then definitely this is the place for you! The service is good. The staff treated us with great hospitality rather this might be one of the few restaurants where they actually ask you about your food allergies before serving any food.
I tried
Street style Dumplings which were mind blowing as the subtle flavor of the Dumplings is complimented beautifully with the taste of some vinegar soaked red chillies
I also loved the corn fretters they serve they did satisfy my criteria , as they tasted good & were crispy too.
Even loved the Thai green curry & the Laksa noodles they serve.
And the caramel sponge cake is not to be missed. The combination of the light sponge cake with caramel & vanilla ice cream is mind blowing. It's amazing how the sweetest of caramel is well balance with the ice cream & cake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently visited this outlet to try something pan Asian food. Accordingly, we ordered Mama’s spicy ramen noodles, Crispy Lotus Stems, Honey Chicken & Sticky Rice Bowl. To me every item was good in taste and was not spicy( except for Spicy Ramen Noodles). The sticky bowl was blessed with yummy and soft tofu which made it really good in taste.
I ordered Very Berry Shake to taste, although it was that great but okay to try.
For the desserts we had coconut ice cream, Chocolate Brownie and caramel cake. The desserts were extremely good, specially the coconut ice cream.
My overall experience was okay but would recommend people to try such food for at least once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I decided to go to this place as my friend suggested they sell really wonderful pork. Truly speaking I loved it. The ambience and service was also really great. In terms of soups they can improve it a bit. Main courses were really delicious and one item could easily serve 2 people.
Also if you go in a group you can have a quality meal in around 400-500 rupees which makes it a good deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried something new.. Japanese restaurant. Amazing ambience. Awesome food and great service. Had fun with friend here. As the ambience is silent, you can have long gossips with your mates here. Loved this place. A bit expensive. Through food quality is amazing. We tried fish prawns, chicken wings and Singapore spice rice bowl.

Mamagoto is absolutely the prettiest and most characterful Asian Restaurant I've ever seen. I've been here before a long time ago and unfortunately wasn't super impressed but I visited again recently and I have to say they've redeemed themselves.
Maki Platter - Really amazing sushi. Chicken, Prawn Tempura and California roll. 4 pieces each. So you get some crunchy, some fishy and some prawn ones. I had this last time too, but at that time the sushi was not fresh and flavours were off. But this time it was great.
Mama's Spicy Ramen Bowl - Oh man!! Hot, spicy ridiculously flavourful broth! Soft noodles, but still retaining a satisfying bite with loads of vegetables, boiled and chicken. Such a heart warming and cozy bowl. And it's huge! (I wish they had a pork version!)
Jasmine Tea - Had a whole warming pot of light refreshing Jasmine tea! The mild flavour is just so good, I finished the whole pot alone!
