At first I wanted to visit a Therapist for teenagers for my son. I searched up online for a therapist for expats in New Delhi.
She was quite reputed but eventually left India before I was able to get a counselling session with her for my son.
My Son was able to talk to her over the phone & email, she suggested him Dr. Maria who practiced in India at the time out of SuperMart area in New Delhi.
My Son was able to get around 6/7 counselling sessions with Dr. Zanoletti. I wasn't able to attend to my son as I work outside India but my son was enrolled in his Undergraduate studies in New Delhi.
My Son found it a bit difficult to commute from College to her Clinic since it was his first time managing all this by himself.
After about 6/7 sessions, he quit eventually as he said he was not getting anything out of it.
He was able to explain his problems and he did say that Dr. Zanoletti was very receptive and listened. She was able to raise a few key points for my Son. My son has had bullying issues as he has grown up outside India. I regretfully wasn't aware of the severity of his problems in school.
My Son said he had to leave because on his final session Dr Maria decided to raise her prices to 3500 inr/ 35 minutes. Before commencing his therapy with her they had already discussed the fees which was 2500 inr/35 minutes session.
Instead of telling her this, that he won't be able to afford that as he was just a student, he decided to leave without telling her. He also didn't tell me. He said he was disturbed as he felt that he wasn't getting anywhere and the therapy wasn't helping.
I cannot say how good Dr Zanoletti is but based on what he told me, her prices do leave me perplexed. I eventually took him to other counselor whose fees was a quite a bit more reasonable and who specializes in adolescents.
