What I gained from MAP? 1. Honest and practical advice regarding post MBA career options. 2. An insight into how admission committees think. 3. Recognized weaknesses and strengths in my profile. 4. Got actionable advice regarding how I can present my achievements in my essays and resume in a better way. 5. A good list of target schools. Highly recommended.

I bought the Profile Builder plan from MCB and it was really helpful for me. I'd just begun looking at MBA as a serious option a few weeks back and I really wanted a good unbiased review of my profile from someone who's been there and done that. After some simple research online, I bought their package and they delivered what they promised - a clean, unbiased profile review with suggestions on how to improve one's profile. The hour-long call was particularly helpful; the consultant was empathetic and did not force his opinions on me, but rather listened to me and unlocked a few other options that I was not very sure of initially, all in a way that doesn't put you in a dilemma but brings clarity of thought instead! If there's someone who's just beginning to look at MBA as an option seriously, and values time and timely advice, go for the Profile Builder by MCB!

I took up the Career MAP (CMAP) service with MBA Crystalball and this is a review of that. As a background, I’m a mechanical engineer with average academics. I started my career at a meagre INR 5K as a service engineer. In 2012 I became as Project Engineer and in 2017, a Project Manager. This is when I approached Manish from MCB to better understand what next in my career. In my search, I could find MCB to be the only ones who have a credible service with excellent reviews. Manish pushed me to first identify the gaps in my profile and also guided me to understand what I would want to do in my life/career. As a direct outcome of our discussion, I got the right motivation and direction and could seek a job change that I had put off for a long time, resulting in a 40% hike in salary with 50 times higher then my initial career . I also found the courage to prepare for my MBA and could get into IIMK. I am looking forward to my EPGP and an even better career in future. I would highly recommend MCB and Manish if you are facing any career dilemmas, mid-life crisis or some such issues in your life/career. They are thoroughly professional and are the best in the business.

I got into Oxford in 2018 as a reapplicant, after being rejected by the same program in 2016. I reached out to MBA Crystal Ball for MBA profile builder service. MG advised me that the Profile Builder service would not help in my case. I was really impressed by his honesty. After my GMAT, since I was in the US, I initially thought of working with a US based consultant. But after reading online reviews from other applicants who were in my situation and had worked with overseas consultants, I was convinced that an India based consultant would be able to help me better with their perspective. The first name that came to my mind was MBA Crystal Ball. I enrolled for their MBA MAP + Essay Review Package . I worked with Ankur, an IITian who had admits from both Harvard and Stanford, and whose blog posts I had been reading! He was very polite and soft spoken throughout all our interactions - just the kind of mentor I needed. He helped me to refine my answers and advised me to elaborate not on β€˜What I did’ but rather β€˜Why I did’ something. We discussed the common questions and that helped to boost my confidence. When I applied the first time my career goals were not clear and I wasn’t able to articulate them clearly. When I look back at my whole journey, I realize that I have come a long way from where I started.

It wouldn’t be an understatement if I say that the profile builder was a life altering experience for me. I was living in a bubble and wasn’t really aware of what B schools look for in prospective candidates. Wasn’t sure how I could build a suitable profile and was simply shooting in the dark. After this experience however, I now approach my profile with a new clarity. MG from MBA Crystal ball was very kind in answering all my doubts patiently. He guided me how different aspects fit in place to make an MBA application. The report was very personalized but the wrap up call was the one in which intrigued me the most. He took out time to explain every single detail in the report and gave ample time for me to ask questions. He seemed genuinely involved in the process and used the word β€œwe” instead of β€œI” while explaining how I should go about with the process of building my profile. This strengthened my belief in the fact that they genuinely care about their clients and work with them as a team. For everyone who is thinking of applying to B schools and is looking for genuine guidance: Your search has come to an end. The best investment I have made so far and will surely get back for other services as well. Highly recommend!!!

Here are my profile stats: Strengths - IIT Bombay Chemical Engineering 2016, 4 years in food and beverage industry working for a large MNC Weakness - Low CGPA, average GMAT score (720) for IIT demography, highly niche sector (chococolates) aiming for big career change after MBA Instead of working with friends who got into Top 10 bschools, I decided to hire a consultant since they can provide biased feedback on the profile and application. My criteria for selecting a consultant: experience, student reviews and cost. I shortlisted 5 international and Indian consultants. I chose to work with MBA Crystal Ball due to their focus on quality over quantity of applications. I signed up for MBA MAP + 5 Schools Applications initially and then for interview preparation too. Result: I got into HEC Paris, which was among the top of my wishlist. My consultant kept me on my toes and ensure that I stayed serious and focused throughout the process. The discussions and advice will help me beyond bschool and during job hunting too. Word of caution: Just because you hire a consultant doesn't mean you can take it easy and assume they'll do the work for you. You will have to do all that you would normally do (like bschool reasearch, career introspection, self-awareness), and they can help it make the output better.

I got into INSEAD with scholarship in the much tougher round 2 with a GMAT score that would be considered average for an Indian male engineer. Scope of work: I took MBA MAP + 3 bschool essay editing package from MBA crystal ball This was my third attempt at GMAT. I had scored 710 earlier. I knew that the score was going to be a disadvantage for the schools I was applying to. I knew I had to take the help of admission consultants to help me structure the entire process and more so maintain the discipline and focus through the application process. I was aware of MBACrystalBall as I was regularly reading their informative blogs and detailed success stories - not just testimonials - from earlier clients. When I contacted them I was impressed with their style of working and honesty. Compared to other consultants I talked to MBA Crystal Ball stood out in 2 ways - providing extremely honest feedback and no spoon feeding. This was exactly the kind of mentoring I wanted. Final results. Out of 3 applications, I was rejected by one, waitlisted by the other and got into the third (INSEAD) with scholarship. My consultant supported me even through the rejections, and helped me focus on the remaining ones. That gave me the best result. My advice for applicants - Choose the business schools based on your own research, fit and do not not apply purely based on rankings.

I recently got an admit to WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany with a scholarship for my MBA. I haven't used the application/consultation services from MBA crystal ball but I would like to thank MBA Crystal ball team for their free material that was available over LinkedIn and on their website. I used this to write a good application, perform well in the interview, write a scholarship application, and also negotiate well.
