Beautifully renovated and outstanding architectural marvel with packed surprises that will take anyone through a journey of our rich arts and culture of Bengal. The entry fee is minimal and it is very well maintained by The Archaeological Survey Department.. it just a few minutes away from B.B.D Bagh Station.

It was a beautiful place to visit. Go check it out. If u go at the morning it's a less hassle free and you can minutely observe each and every thing. Overall I had a great time.

Metcalfe Hall is currently hosting a wonderful exhibition called "Ami Kolkata". It's a beautiful rendition of the essence of the city. They have incorporated art and culture from the past as well as the present. It has done justice to the unique mix of culture this city has to offer. The building is very well maintained by the Archeological Survey of India. Tickets are ₹20 if paid online and ₹25 if paid in cash. I highly recommend it to all visitors of the city and to residents too - you may discover a new fact about the city you live in and will certainly leave feeling proud.

A snapshot of the culture of Kolkata. Not just artefacts, but pictures and essence of Calcutta through the sounds and sights were provided in it. The only thing i felt is there is nothing written in Bengali as captions or explanations, yet this museum is speaking about kolkata culture, sounds, sites, music, movies and books.

I don't know which words to use to describe this very beautifully place. I had a phenomenal experience! Well phenomenal is too less to describe the wonderful experience that I had, it was an awesome, astonishing, wondrous, and a quite amazing experience. There's so much to learn from here. Infact I got to learn a lot today thanks to Metcalfe Hall. There's so much interesting information available here. And the best part of this Hall that I loved the most is the place full of movie posters. The visual aesthetics here are literally so eye pleasing ? I would really love to come here again and I also recommend everyone to come here.

Really aesthetic place, very well curated. Capturing all the main aspects of the city of Kolkata, It's history, culture and heritage. The place is beautiful but the maintenance is not. We visited early in the morning and few of the video exhibits were not working. There is no AC, so it was very hot, only a handful of stand fans at a few places which were also off at that time. Other than this I'll give it a 5 star.
