★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pay for the meter testing fees where you pay your bill and then bring the meter (on your own) to this place to room no 9. My experience- waited hardly fifteen minutes to get my turn. They test the meter in front of you and then give you the report. That's it.

[BRING ANY GOVT ID WHEN YOU VISIT THIS PLACE]
Process :
1. you will most likely be called in here when you report faulty meter and the meter gets replaced subsequently . [this part took more than 2 months for us , our house ran on directly from the supply without meter]
2. After the meter is replaced someone from DHBVN will come with book and take the old burnt meter from you , and hand you a receipt and a time slot for you to visit the testing lab.
3. When you visit the testing lab , you have get your name registered in the book and wait.
4. The representative will call you , fetch your meter and unpack infront of you , then they will confirm that the meter was not tampered with .
5. they will make you sign some slips and let you go.
Charges for the new meter are appended in the next bill .
This is a friendly place no touts or bribes required.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know whether they test any meter or not here. I have not seen. I went there for my meter which was replaced my DHBVN. And asked to come to this place because they will pack the old meter in front of the consumer. But nothing was like that. It was already packed. I have to wait there for 2 hours. No sitting arrangements for consumers. Not even a fan, where I waited. Government departments are like that only.
