★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a Government of India agency that works to promote IT among other government agencies. In this case, it is working for departments (mostly) of the Government of Goa.
I've known officers and staff of the NIC-Goa for some years now; maybe a decade. There was Mr PV Chandran, and many others (including Archana Nagvenkar) who have been helpful and friendly over the years. In times when the Net was hard to understand, difficult to use and nearly impossible (for most) to access, NIC offered to train us journalists in the basics of what the Net could do for us.
They also make simple, non-nonsense website for government agencies. In my view, these may be simple but at least they are hardy. Many of the website contracted out to private parties tend to be flashy, but hard to sustain after their initial contract of a year or so extends.
I think these guys have been doing some good work, though mostly out of the limelight...

I wonder if anyone has successfully submitted an application for driving license renewal. I have been filling, uploading the supporting documents and submitting for two days now.. Every time i get server error "ORA-12541: TNS:no listener"
Tried calling for help on the phone (and there too 'no listener' ....no one answers the phones!!!) :(-
