Overall good place with cheap and affordable prices.

This is the potential place for original good quality Hilsha fish, but need to go bit early morning, else all will be sold out. Fish and vegetables are also available there in the market. Some gift shop and dry fruit shop is also there. Some people are there who can cook food for you. If you buy some fish or chicken and vegetables and give it to them, they would cook for you with of certain price. I think this is a wonderful facilities which is available here.

The price varies from 700/800/900 rs kg. According to size of cashews. I think must buy from this market. Good quality ones. Their is a small temple as well in the premises. Aarti started at 7pm in evening. Its closed in the noon so plan accordingly in the evening or early morning hours. Can visit once when in digha ?

Earlier, when New Digha wasn't constructed and most families used to come to Digha for weather change and cooking by themselves, this market was the only means. Still now, this market has that old flavor with muddy places and dense shops. Mainly it is the vegetable and fish market but one can get almost all types of grocery too including cashews. And the collection of fish is amazing, starting from sardine, pomfret, lobster to octopus and sting rays. You should visit this market if you come to Digha.
