Very nice place located underground If u r near to the Shivneri Fort or at Junnar must visit this place. God Shiva's lover must visit. I love this place

I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock at six in the morning. Minutes later, I was tying my shoe laces and getting ready for my first day of jogging. I walked down the stairs, half-awoken, still wanting to go back and sleep for another hour or so. But that idea soon vanished as the words of the doctor, whom I had met the previous day, echoed inside my head. Few weeks before this, when I had been in Paris, I had felt some strange heaviness in my chest. On returning, I went to a doctor who cautioned me to work on my fitness. So there I was, jogging down an lonely narrow lane. The lane ran straight for about a kilometer, then twisted around a lake. As I was walking towards the lake, images of me and my wife admiring the beauty of Paris appeared & faded before my eyes. Near the lake, there a few empty benches except one on which an old man was sitting. I presumed that he was either taking a short rest after a long walk or waiting for somebody. I jogged till the end of the lake and returned home. Few weeks passed, and every day when I went to jog, I saw that old man sitting on that bench. And I just couldn't figure out why he sat there alone, doing nothing. My curiosity was building up as each day passed, and I finally decided to talk to him. The next morning, I went and sat beside him on the bench. I asked him, “Why do you sit here every day?" He said, “Because this is the most beautiful place that I know”. Confused, I asked, “What is so beautiful about this place?” and he said, “Look”. And I tried to look around. I saw the rising sun gleam from behind the veiling clouds, and several rays penetrating through them. Birds were flying through the heavenly sky in incredible formations, while some were chirping sweetly from the trees of the surrounding wilderness. The sun’s light glittered on the water, and it looked as if there was a path of light between me and the far off mountains. The lotus flowers, near the edges of the lake, looked exquisite as the water droplets on their surfaces reflected the sun's light and appeared like tiny marbles. I had been through that place numerous times, but I had never looked; it was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen. And I realized that I don’t have to travel miles to admire beauty. All I have to do is look closely.

Spiritual and relax place to visit. This place has historical significance. When you visit the place you are amazed with the architecture and grandeur of the place. People who love the history will definitely enjoy. Place is well maintained. Local foods are available Can see monkeys. Tiredness can be recovered by sitting in the hill top. As you are in a trip mood there is lot more things you can find out near by.

Short distance placce situated outside junnar city, very peacefull. Along with other temples here is a Pataleshwara Shiv temple, shivlingam is located around 15-20 feet under ground, one can take steps to go there. Must visit temples in junnar- shivneri fort trips.

Serene good place to sit and relax and meditate

The temple is simply divine. It is located near the river and has vast area and right from where you enter yiu can feel the holiness of the temple. The calm that you get inside the temple is unmatched. Also it is not too crowded which helps while taking darshan.
