★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One can visit the place if they're nearby or passing by. But it's not worth if you're going just to see that site. Maybe archaeologists can visit there. I'm disappointed because I went to all the way from eluru just to visit this place. Locally the site is ok. And I suggest ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA to develop the site and Keep an information board there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are three keepers
One fellow, Nagender, never attend duty. He feels the duty is too bellow his dignity. He thinks his salary must be paid as his name was there
It is not a Buddistic Cite
Capital of Vengi Chalukyas, before they shifted it to Rajamahendravaram

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not opening. There is fence around it. Archeological department protects it. But we can see it from fence. That village is beautiful and calm. There is one eashwara temple. Where all the historical statues preserved. That temple is so beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a small archaeological site with two brick structures next to each other. It is classified as a Buddhist site as the brick sizes are similar to those found in other Buddhist sites of Andhra Pradesh and the remains of a stupa-like structure. Tentatively this is a 6th to 8th century site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the old 3rd century Andhra capital once upon a time, in the third century salyamkala kings has ruled vengipuram used as a capital. At the time the king Raja Raja Narendrudu has shifted the capital from vengipuram to rajamahendravaram, due to this reason vengipuram has disappeared. Vengi salyamkala kings ruled between third century to 10th century. In 1985 Indian Central Archaeological team started digging this area and found Ancient statues. As per archaeological department information there is fort located in this area and there will be a underground passage between fort to pedavegi. There are so many god status found during survey, this is one of the best place to visit.
