★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2020 has drawn a line on human history..now the world will forever remember 2020 as the yr. between the "Pre-Covid" and the "Post-Covid" era. Many people have unfortunately lost their loved ones to this deadly disease BUT their pain doesn't ends there.
From getting the last rites of their loved ones done, to collection of 'Death Certificate' from Kolkata Municipal Corporation is a tough task.
However kudos to government for streamlining the process a bit.. we collected the D.C. from Peace World Topsia Hindu Burial Ground.
Situated on the main road in Topsia, its easy to locate.
The process is lengthy and full of official redtape as is "usually a norm" in any government office and associated individuals. Carry all official "original" documents and be ready for long haul.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor working system. No proper internet connectivity and most of the time it is either down or out of order. The staff has no accountability for the relatives of dead family members who have come from a far distance to collect the death certificate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is open and vast but very disorganised. Death certificate is given out from a small window where everyone is crowding, flouting covid protocols. There is no proper space to sit and wait for your turn. Also the process is very slow and they are making frequent errors in death certificates. Recommend people to go in weekdays early mornings with time in hand.

COVID-19 related Death certificate are being issued from this graveyard.
Visit this place during week days for death certificate collection.
Bring a valid ID proof for relationship establishment.
For "Asthi" of the demised person you can contact them. Usually takes 7 days prior notification.
Staff are very cooperative and helpful.
You will get proper assistance and help.
Very calm and quiet place.
