★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very old and prominent public auditorium, in Chinsurah, the district headquarters of Hooghly district. It has been witness to innumerable important and historic social and cultural events of the district and West Bengal too. Undergone several renovations over the decades, and still the most coveted place for government organised meetings and events.Once, in the nineties, when i was a student at a govt. Technical college, i attended the college social, here. Now it is equipped with a state of the art projection system and marvellous light and audio systems.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Standard auditorium hall with balanced acoustics and good air conditioning.It has a capacity of 500-600 audiences.It has a balcony gallery also for better view. It has 6 exits and 1 main corridor for entrance. Seats are comfortable and the structure of hall is strategically made gallery type for viewers from back rows of the hall.
Outside premises of the Bhavan is also nice and the bhavan is easily commutable by auto rickshaws ,e rickshaws from Chinsurah court Auto stand, Chinsurah railway station .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good place for small cultural function.100 -200 people can be accomodated.Main area is air conditioned.The place has parking slot. Free Toilet facility for both ladies and gents available.
