★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Biswa Bangla Gate or the Kolkata Gate, is an architectural wonder built by the Government of West Bengal, at Narkel Bagan crossing, also renowned as the Rabindra Tirtha at New Town. The gate is still under construction, and will soon be open for the tourists and visitors, who would be able to climb the top of the architecture via elevator where several stalls would be opened apart from a view point to capture a breathtaking view of the city of Kolkata. The location is chosen for the reason, mostly visitors in the city have to move through this crossing while going or coming from the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at Dumdum.

Narkelbagan is the most important 4 point crossing in Rajarhat. Also it is the entry point before the giant IT offices of West Bengal as well as Tata Medical Centre. It is now very well decorated with the Kolkata Gate. It's looking beautiful in night also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bus stop includes overhead shade on both sides of the traffic but at unusual places. People never use the bus stops except if there is rain. This page is only crowded at returning hours between 7-9 PM from Mon-Friday. There is no toilet facility here and you'll feel like you're in the middle of no where when you land here first.
The Tata Medical centre is 300 metres from here and the Eco Park is 1 km.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ NarkelBagan /NewtownXing is the most important bus stop of Newtown. Its a well connected place through main Kolkata, New Town, Airport and Ecospace. Area is beautifully cleaned and public transport like bus, autos and cabs are available here.From here one can have bus for Eco park, Salt lake sector-v, Ultodanga, Barasat, Dumdum airport, Sealdah and other important places of kolkata. From Narkel Bagan TCS, Unitech, Tata medical and Techno India Collage of Technology can be reach easily. Once the east-west metro starts access to this place will be lot easier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place in Kolkata for an excellent tribute to poet Rabindranath Tagore. There is an audio visual on Tagore and an exceptional exibition of photographs and paintings. The best singers of Rabindra songs, are got their place in hall of fame. There is a library of rare manascripts, book and documents. The place have one restorant and nice cottages for lodging with several beautiful gardens and a pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not much to see as we had expected. A huge photo gallery, a lovely lake with pink lotuses, meticulously decorated gardens and tiled paths and the feeling of being with Tagore. That's what makes the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good arrangement and collection of kavi guru. Very good concept to introduce Tagore to a new comer. Only feedback: please keep the wheelchair access path open. That path is covered by planters.
