Mayer Ghat at Baghbzar offers one the two-directional view of the River Hooghly (Ganga), as it's situated not far away from the point of divergence of Hooghly (from South towards South-West direction). Both Vivekananda Setu (Bally Bridge) and Howrah Bridge (Rabindra Setu) are visible from this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the holiest places in Baghbazar area where Sri Ma Sarada Devi used to take bath every morning during her mortal life. Immersion of idols take place here, especially Kali Idol after traditional pujas at Ramakrishna Math , Baghbazar is immersed here after fireworks dedicated to Sri Ma. A very serene place. Jai Ma.

When we went there we saw khichadi prasad was being served to all without distinctions - even non devotees.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popularly known as Maa'er Bari. A place where Maa Sarada used to stay. The temple of holy mother is on the first floor of the house. Every evening Sondhya Arati is offered here from 5.30 pm onwards. The house is located at a distance of 20 mins. walk from Shyambazar Metro Railway station and is on the banks of river Hooghly, very close to Maa'er Ghat, Baghbazar. The road to Maa'er Bari is very narrow and congested. Bhogs are also offered here.
