Roche Harbor - Dera Bassi

I visited this place to attend a wedding of one of my knowns. The decoration was way too good and the food was impeccable. If you are ever invited, do not turn down the invitation haha.

We had our engagement ceremony at Roche Harbor and everyone loved how things were set up. Himanshu (one of the owners) is really nice and he made sure that everything was setup the way we wanted. Would highly recommend this place to host your ceremony.

Nice place with a few pools. Great setup for a mandap wedding. Washrooms could use more cleaning though. And the food leaves a lot to be desired. But the decor and place setup makes it an attractive option for a small/mid sized gathering function for a wedding.

Properly looks very good . Decoration done was also good starters served were not replaced time and again and waiter were just carry cold snacks.

MUST READ IF YOU ARE GOING TO BOOK THIS PLACE FOR A FUNCTION OR VACATION................ One of the worst experience that I ever had. Had gone there for a wedding. Waited for around 40 minutes to get my stuff unloaded from my car to the room. The rooms were in a pathetic state. I had to literally tell the receptionist thrice to get my room cleaned and washroom wiped up. Spider webs mosquitoes bed bugs all were there in the room to welcome us. The wires were out, only few lights were functional. The exhaust fan was non functional. There was no curtain on the glass window, had to ask for extra mattress and make it stand in front of the glass window ? to stop the sunlight and make the room cool and dark for sleeping. Remote of AC and TV non functional. There was no soap, shampoo and towels in bathroom and to ask the room service twice for the same that too he sent a chap with one big size towel and a shampoo. As far as food is concerned, all the family members and relatives faced the issues of indigestion and vomiting. The food IS NOT PREPARED inside the resort as they don't have any kitchen inside the resort, so all the food was COOKED OUTSIDE somewhere and was brought inside. In this weather when the temperature is touching 42°/43° one can imagine of the food that is cooked outside and then brought inside and then reheated and served. The FOOD is bound to get STALE. The worst part was that they DON'T even HAVE a PANTRY where one can order for a cup of Tea or Coffee. As per them the meal and tea timings are fixed and will be brought from the outside kitchen and served strictly as per that only. If one is traveling with kids then you have to move out of the resort travel for 4-5kms and purchase milk and biscuits from road side stalls or any other shops, because the resort chaps have only one answer sorry sir we don't have a pantry/kitchen here. No room service is there for getting your clothes ironed. You have to personally take your clothes to the iron shop and bring it back. There were no glasses in the room for drinking water only 200 ml water bottles were provided. One person has to carry atleast 10 bottles to his room by himself only. Asked them for 1 LTR water bottles but that were not available. The electric kettle was so dirty that it was having layers of tea stains. It seems that it has not seen the water since months. The attitude of the staff was such as if they were doing any favour to us. If there had been any grading in negetive i would have given that also. Don't go for the rosy picture that is painted at the time of booking. They purposefully call the clients in the evening to show the colourful lightings and all to lure them with the beautiful looks. Had they focused the same on their service and food also I would have not written this negative review. Hope the top level reads this and bring some changes.

We just had a 2 day wedding at the venue. It was very beautiful and everything was taken care of with awesome hospitality. The decor had personal touch and a very welcoming environment. I would strongly recommend it for people wanting to enjoy closely with their relatives.

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. All respect for him who does a great job here. Excellent hospitality.
