Sabir Bhai's - Mumbai

Brilliant Mughlai food. It has been a week since I ate their biryani and nalli nihari, I am still FULL.

Was yearning out loud for a lavish Iftar spread until I came across Sabir Bhai’s. The food is honest and full of flavours and for the prices they offer, I am definitely ordering again! :)

Mughlai cuisine is synonymous to Rich Royal Ravishing -- The 3R -- as per me... Richness of aroma Royal in texture Ravishing in look If we look back, Mughlai cuisine consists of dishes developed in mediaeval Indo-Persian culture centres of the Mughal Empire. Interestingly, the taste of Mughlai cuisine vary from extremely mild to very spicy. The particular aroma of ground or whole spices. Usually a Mughlai meal is an elaborate main course dishes. Mostly served together & enjoyed together. Along with whole aromatic spices, milk, butter, ghee, cream, dry fruits are extensively used in traditional Mughlai cuisine. Sabir Bhai's place in Andheri West, Mumbai are keeping the tradition to move forward. A perfect destination for Mughlai cuisine lovers of Mumbai ? The curries, gravy, kebabs & kormas & many more Mughlai delicacies are prepared in authentic way. The taste, texture, aroma will surely make you order again and again from Sabir Bhai's. The safety & hygiene precautions are properly followed by them. Not only while preparing the food but also in packaging and delivery. As per Muslim culture, they start their elaborate meals with dates and a pinch of salt. Sabir Bhai is following it too, while delivering food. And designer big paper mat is provided too. Our weekend brunch was ordered in advance from Sabir Bhai -- Our favourite Mughlai meal started with 1. Chicken Kandi Kebab - deep fried spicy boneless, well-marinated chicken pieces with egg batter in skewers. Yes it was a lovely dish. Served with green chutney. Mutton Red Korma - Korma adds on more happiness in any celebration. Though, the colour of deep red, but not at all spicy. Good portion of big mutton pieces were in Korma. Mutton Nalli Nihari - The most loved dish by most of the Indians. With bones big picture of tender mutton pieces, slow-cooked in mild aromatic unique tasty light gravy. Loved it? Laccha butter paratha - butter-layered flour parathas, perfect company for amazing gravy dishes. Traditional Mughlai desserts -- Sahi Tukra -- Naam mein hai 'Sahi' means Royal? The richness of ghee fried bread pieces, totally soaked in mawa based thick cream. Gajar ka Halwa -- Halwa brings smile on everyone's face. The iconic "Celebration Dessert of India". Prepared with love, mawa, carrots, ghee & nut -- What else ??? Yes the happy vibes are also added to it ? Sabir Bhai - you made our this weekend very special. Mughlai food -- one of the most popular, loved cuisine of India. Indians are emotionally attached to Biryani, Rogan Josh, Nihari Gosht, Mughlai paratha, korba and many many more Mughlai delicacies and traditional desserts. The most distinct of Mughlai cuisine is the use of whole spices along with butter, ghee, milk, cream and lots of dryfruits. The aroma, texture, ingredients, process of cooking -- made this cuisine very special and popular. Our Weekend family brunch at home was very special this week. Ordered few of my favourite dishes from Sabir Bhai restaurant -- exactly the feeling of -- The Food from the Neighborhood. 1. Mutton Nalli Nihari -- just awesome ? Non spicy, aromatic mutton curry. 2. Chicken Kandi kebab -- lovely chicken kebabs, served 3 pieces on each stick. Along with green chutney & fresh lemon pieces. 3. Mutton Red Korma -- rich aromatic curry with mutton pieces, absolutely non-spicy. 4. Laccha butter paratha - layered parathas, one of the speciality of this cuisine. Traditional Mughlai desserts -- 5. Gajar ka halwa - not too sweet, but perfectly blended halwa. It's one of my weakness. 6. Sahi tukra - ghee fried bread loaded with mawa malai? just awesome. Excellent packing, hygienic, delivery-on-time. The food was delivered along with a designer big paper mat and date with salt. As per Muslims, date is related to celebration, blessing of Almighty, good for health. This personal touch along with the meal, really won my heart completely.

Sabir Bhai’s How often have you ordered from a delivery kitchen after seeing pictures online? It was a pleasant afternoon and the correct time to order food from this place. Delivery and packaging was perfect. No complaints. I’ve called for the following dishes. Mutton Seekh Kebabs: Its full of flavors. Loved the texture. Balance was nice. Mutton Dal Gosht: Mutton Dal Gosht is a delicious and comfort dish prepared out of lamb or mutton. The consistency was perfect. The mutton was simmered with spices and it was so delicious. You can enjoy this with Pao or with rice. Baghara Chawal: It’s a traditional Hyderabadi style rice which goes very well any chicken or mutton curry. Phirni: It’s not that sweet yes but it was delicious. They will surprise you with the soft texture. Khariq ka Halwa: Simply amazing. Overall, I loved the experience of food ordering. I'm almost a year late in penning down my experience of this lovely brand called Sabir Bhai's - that serves authentic Muslim food. It is located in Andheri, Mumbai. Let's dive into the topic straight away, This special delivery kitchen saw the light of the day during the lockdown when eating outside food and dine in experience was a far-fetched dream for many people like me who love experiencing new places and it's cuisines. This lovely places brings to your plate glorious flavors of kebabs, tikkas and everything appetizing served across the city. The only goal of this lovely place is to Take their authentic traditional muslim cuisine outside the periphery of places like mohd ali road and introduce it to every part of the city, making it available through the year to everyone who wants to experience it. The cuisine which is rich in flavours and spices, the food that we foodies look forward to savouring in ramadan or at a muslim friends wedding is now available anywhere and anytime. Now the food is a call/order away. What all did i have ? - Foil Chicken - Chicken Green Korma - Baghara Chawal - Firni The main thing i look for when the food comes home from any delivery kitchen is the packing and how they have sent it and sabir bhai did an excellent job.
