The overall ambiance was not so promising as it looks from outside. Before we entered for dine-in here, we stopped to taste the tea here and it was amazing. The thing I disliked about the place is the entrance, it so dirty and smelly that you didn’t feel like touch or be touched by anything on your way up to the restaurant, the ambiance inside was also very average. Though the availability of choice of food was quite limited here. Among the food we had ordered, as starters: a whole tandoor chicken which was perfectly cooked and fresh and juicy from inside. (Recommended) Secondly we took the crispy chilli baby-corn was also very crispy and tasty. (Recommended) On the other hand the honey chilli potato was too tangy to enjoy it’s actual flavour. Later we was so full, we ordered one chilli chicken (with thick coating) with handmade rotis (as they didn’t have other options at time) as main course. Overall food was average. But the staffs were alway very gracious and courteous to its customers which must be appropriated.

Sam da Dhaba (Open till 3 am): A newly opened Dhaba with an open air dining area, a restaurant, a live fresh juice counter along with a chai counter at Baguihati. With interiors done wonderfully, this place has made me fall in love at first sight! Serving lip-smacking Indian & Chinese Cuisine, their eclectic menu boasts of innovative infusions which would surely make someone crave for more & more! With seating arrangements done in a classy way utilising bamboo sticks, the whole place looks a tad bit rustic during the daylight & vibrant, chic with dim lights at night! The dining section on the second floor comprises of a photogenic corner at one end while the rest of the space is well utilized with chairs and tables maintaining social distancing. The dining area overlooks the flyover in the front and definitely qualifies for 'Lunch with a View' segment! On entering, we were greeted warmly and were offered water. Within, 10 minutes of placing the order, the food starting flowing in! The Ahad-e-Changezi Tangdi Kebab to start off with deserves the praise with it's impeccably amazing taste, texture and flavour. We also tried the Aamshotto diye Fish Tikka which was in one word, heavenly. The Tabak Maaz too was a great start to the exquisite meal that we could imagine was awaiting us. The Malai Broccoli here is a terrific option for vegetarians here. The Murgh Tulsi Amrud Tikka was yet again another introduction to their non-veg menu which surpassed my expectations. Once we were done with the starters, we came to know that the non-veg segment was introduced just a week ago which left me amazed! With the dry fruit lassi comprehending the scrumptious main course that we had, the entire focus was on the varied taste which was absolutely worth it. The flavours were something to watch out for. We absolutely relished the Lucknowee Mutton Tawa Pulao, Veg Fried Rice, Missi Roti, Cheese Chilli Naan, Dhaba Daal Tadka & Murgh Tikka Masala. From the Chinese section, we tried out the Mixed Fried Rice with exotic veggies which we paired up with the Garlic Chicken with Mushroom. DELICIOUSness at it's best. The droolworthy main course was followed by their signature desserts which were out of the world. The Shahi Firni & the Gil-e-Furdous (Lauki Halwa) left was imagining about the fabulous ending that we savoured. My goodness! The latter is a totally must try from this place. Be it a family lunch or an intimate meal for two, or an adda session with your gang, they have it all for you at 158/1, VIP Road Deshbandhunagar, Jora Mandir, Baguiati, Kolkata : 700059. ? Its a nice place to hang out. You can just settle down here on bamboo made chair and have some tea from 'The Chai Company' and snacks to spend your time with Gossips.

Very less options available, they don't have everything listed in their menu even at proper lunch time. No tandoors (naan, rumali roti nothing), no Kashmiri polau available.

Visited this place to have mughlai items but had Chinese foods instead because tandoor items were not available during afternoon. Quality and quantity was average.

Sam Da Dhaba located in Joramandir, Baguiati is an open air dhaba style restaurant. They have an indoor AC seating room too. They serve chai and have live tandoor counter beside their open air seating and also a snack shop, all in the same place. The best time to visit this place is evening time, when they lit up the places with lights and creates a beautiful ambience. You can enjoy your tea/snacks here and also drop in for dinner later! A few dishes here which are worth trying - ?Stir Fried Chicken In Bell Pepper ?Lahsuni Murg Tikka ?Kashmiri Pulao with Mutton Kosha ?Gulab Jamun with Rabri The stir fried chicken and the murg tikka were good in taste and well made. The kashmiri pulao was little on the sweeter side but went well with the rich mutton gravy. The mutton was very well cooked and the gravy was full of spices, just like dhaba food! Ended off with my favourite Gulab Jamun with Rabri. They also serve mocktails like virgin mojito and fruit punch which were very refreshing and tasted good. All in all, a wholesome place for evening adda with chai and snacks. Also a very family friendly place for lunch or dinner!

@samdadhabakolkata has introduced some non-veg items in this pujo and I can't wait to tell you all about this. Where:- At a 2 mins walking distance from Joramandir, Baguihati. Coming to the ambience, the place have both indoors and outdoors seating arrangements and can hold more than 20 people at a time in both indoors and outdoors. They sell their signature Kulhad Chai and Tandoori Chicken items in their outdoor section. Coming to the food, they have introduced non veg items in their North Indian and Chinese section and honestly their Non Veg section rocked! The items that I would recommend from their non veg delicacies are:- CHINESE:- *CILANTRO CHICKEN *STIR FRIED CHICKEN IN BELL PEPPERS NORTH INDIAN:- *LEHSOONI MURGH TIKKA *MURGH TIKKA MASALA *MUTTON KOSHA You can pair these items with Chili Garlic Noodles, Laccha Paratha and Kashmiri Pulao respectively. Also try their Virgin Mojito to gulp these dishes down. End on a sweet note with their ANGOORI RASMALAI & GULAB JAMUN WITH ICE CREAM. d So do hop in here with your loved ones this pujo and have a great time. Happy Durga Pujo y"all.
